Jacob walked into the hospital only to find the place completely trashed. There was blood, smoke, and not a soul in sight. Jacob rushed to the room where Princess Nicole was being treated. She was okay, still laying there asleep, only... she was not alone.
There before him stood the king, who might have been about to finish what he had started in that back alley. "Thank God she's okay," said the king trembling, "we were jumped on my way out of this country... I mean.. our way." Jacob stared at him for a second in both shock and anger. "Yeah? And why should I believe that?" Jacob responded angrily, "I know that you did all this. I know you're the reason everything's trashed in here, why the queen is dead, and why your brother is missing. So tell me, why should I believe that you would only protect this one?"
"Because she's my daughter!" He snapped back, "and nothing will ever change that!" "I'm sorry you're majesty" Jacob said sarcastically, "but I don't believe you." King Brock jumped at Jacob with the dagger he'd been hiding in his coat. Jacob was quicker however and moved out of the way, and then when the king hit the ground Jacob snatched the dagger. He pinned the king to the wall, and held the dagger to his throat.
"If you kill me, you'll be hanged for treason! Do it! Do it!" The king yelled. "No I won't. There's a bounty on your head, and I'm here to collect it," Jacob said with a sadistic grin on his face, "I love her! You killed her! And now I'm gonna kill you!"
Nicole had been awake for about a minute. "No! No, don't!" They both heard from the hospital bed. Jacob kneed the king in the face, and then walked over to Nicole. "I thought that you were dead," Jacob said, "I thought I lost you forever." He started to cry. "Hey now, I'm not leaving you anytime soon! I couldn't leave you. Trust me, you're not gonna lose me, not yet," she replied.
"I love you," Jacob said. "I love you too, more than you'll ever know," she replied. King Brock began to stand back up, and then charged at Jacob. CRACK!! Jacob threw a right hook and knocked him out, he heard his jaw snap.
The king lay there in excruciating pain and agony. Jacob carried him to his Uncle's house, a former combat medic in the Civil War of 2163. This was essentially a "rematch" of the Great War of 2100, which the U.S. lost, and all the rebels in the Civil War that were caught were executed.
When they arrived his uncle agreed to make sure that the king got to Toronto after his jaw was fixed. "Well, it looks like you're gonna have to live with me for a while Princess," Jacob said. "I guess I'm okay with that," she said with a smile.
When they arrived at the Harrison house, Jacob's mom had left a note. It read, "Your father will be in the Capitol trying to restore order, and I'll be in The Nevada-California colony with you're cousins. If you need anything you know were to find Uncle Ken. Be good, we'll see you after everything is figured out. Me and your father both love you very much. Love Mom."
Jacob showed Nicole around their house, "it's not much I know, but it's all we have," he said. "It's fine, great actually, as long as I'm with you anyways. You make everything amazing Jakey," she said. Jacob smiled, and then so did she. "And finally, the bedroom. We all sleep in here, the house is too small for anymore bedrooms. Two beds, two nightstands, two dressers, a closet, and the bookshelf," Jacob finished the short tour.
"Anything I can get you before you go to bed?" He asked. "No, I'm good," she said. Jacob sat down on his bed, and a few seconds later, Nicole came and sat down beside him. He looked at her and grinned. When she looked back at him, he winked, and she giggled. "Do you mind if I sleep in your bed with you tonight? I'd feel safer," Nicole asked. "Sure, why not," he said.
Nicole was being chased by three bloodhounds, and her father leading them. She was running as fast as she could, screaming and crying for help. But no help ever arrived. The dogs leaped at her, she was taken down. The king drew his dagger and lifted it high in the air. The hounds were about to rip into her flesh, but then, she woke up.
She had the worst nightmare that she had ever had just then. Alarming Jacob in the process, he tried to calm her down, "baby c'mon, it was just a dream," he said. "No. It's not that, I... I... You weren't there, I was scared. You weren't there to protect me, it was horrible," she said. "I'm sorry, just... try to go back to sleep if you can," he said. But she couldn't go back to sleep, not after that. Jacob kissed her forehead and said, "if you need me during the night, just wake me up, I won't mind. I promise. And I love you." "I love you too."
