"Are you sure?" I asked.

Millie's wide eyes made me think she hadn't quite planned to say that, but she nodded anyway.

After giving her a full minute to rethink the offer, I pulled out my phone from my pocket and called Laz.

He answered on the second ring. "Yes?"

His breathing was hard, and a crash sounded in the background.

"Work?" I asked blandly, but Millie looked stunned.

"Yep," Laz grunted. "Rogue ghost."

"Is Alex with you?"

There was a sound that could have been a "yes," before another series of loud bangs. After a moment, it went quiet.

"All done," Laz said cheerfully, if a bit breathlessly.

I chuckled. "Have you seen outside yet?"

A pause. "Oh, bugger. My car is buried."

I switched the call to speakerphone for Millie so she could hear more clearly. "Well I'm kind of stuck at Millie's house. Bloody witch won't let me leave. I know we made a deal, but Millie suggested we all three sleep in her living room. That way it stays equal."

"Says the guy that has had two dates with her," Alex growled into the speaker.

"You can all stay the night, or you'll have to forfeit all future dates until the storm clears," she reasoned, hands on her slender hips.

I recalled the feel of her against me so vividly my cock twitched.

Laz sighed. "Alright then. We'll have to come on foot, and we'll stop and get some extra clothes. Are you fine on food for a few days, witchlette?"

"For me, yes. For three ravenous men, doubtful."

I heard Laz laugh but I could only focus on just how ravenous I was for the woman standing next to me. She'd finally shed her jacket, which left her in the tight, wine-colored, long-sleeve sweater that hugged her every curve. The witch was enchanting without using any of her magic.

"We'll grab what we can. Be there in an hour."

The call disconnected and a self-satisfied smile spread across Millie's face. "See, that wasn't so hard."

I returned the gesture with bared teeth. "You think you can handle all three of us at once, princess?"

Her face paled, then her cheeks turned bright red. I laughed.

"I'll go find something to make for dinner." I stood up from the couch and headed for the kitchen, leaving the sexy, blushing woman still standing there like a deer caught in the shine of oncoming headlights.

Because if she thought I could be intense, taking on the three of us full-time—even if just for a few days—would be the ultimate test to determine if she accepted the mating bonds.

Just over an hour later, with the wind howling a mournful tune outside, Millie hopped to her feet moments before a bang came at the door.

She opened it before Alex's fist could impact against the wood a second time. They were covered in white from head to boot, leaving just their eyes visible. Millie reached for them both, pulling them inside. I helped unload the massive hiking bags they each had strapped to their backs.
