Living a normal life was now impossible to Lily after being kidnapped by the tatters. She was stolen off of the boat that was supposed to take her to England to study from the White Sea after visiting her family that lived in Egypt because of her fa...
I smiled happily as I looked at myself in the mirror in my green sleep dress flowing down my body. I looked behind me through the mirror at the two cribs where my twins laid asleep happily. My babies were barely three weeks old and since their arrival, Suleiman has been fair with me and Hurrem one Thursday she stays, and one Thursday I stay.
I turned around when the doors to my room opened to show my loyal maid and friend Rosie. I was twirling my hair between my fingers to make it curly loving the way it looked in that shape.

"Shhh, don't wake the twins I just got them to calm down" I whispered as quiet as possible. She nodded making a funny face as she closed the door behind her slowly and quietly.
"What is it?" I asked as she stepped closer to me on the tip of her toes. She leaned in closer to my ear so she could whisper.
"His majesty is asking for you on the high tower" She whispered with obvious joy in her tone. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow not knowing the point of this at an hour like this on a Friday besides I was with him last night since it was my turn.
"Did he say what he wanted?" I asked. She shook her head no but I felt like she was lying to me but let it go since it was Suleiman who asked for me and I trusted him with my life.
"Fine, get me my white dress, it's the easiest in and out of" she bowed and ran out of the room to do as told.
I changed fast into my dress and did my hair in a simple yet elegant do with a small silver lining in it. I walked down the harem where all of the girls were getting ready for bed, they immediately threw what was in their hands and ran to bow to me.
I walked out of the castle and over to the high tower. When I was at the bottom I looked up to see a silhouette looking over Istanbul. I walked up the none ending stairs before I finally reached the top. I walked over to Suleiman who was leaning against the railing looking over his capital.
"Your majesty" I bowed behind him. He turned around with a huge smile and opened his arms for me to walk into.
"Is everything okay?" I asked leaning against his chest and looked over Istanbul alongside him. It was late so there was rarely any movement in the city.
"No, but I do have a surprise for you," he said kissing my forehead. I turned to look up at him trying to read him.
"What is it?" I asked excitedly. He chuckled and shook his head.
"Not now darling. Let me hold you for a while" he said pulling me back into him and held me tightly to him as his life depended on it. He held me like that until the sun started to rise, I was really tired but loved every second of it so not one word of complaint left my mouth.
"Come on" he pulled me back inside of the tower and over to a door. He pulled it opened and ushered me inside. I walked into the room immediately, in front of the door a covering screen. I turned to look behind me at Suleiman who only smiled and pointed to his ear.
"Do you, Ali pasha agree on sultan Suleiman as a husband to Qamar daughter of Abdullah?" It took me a minute to process the words in my head. Suleiman was marrying me, now without me trying just for a mistake I made. He was mad at me but yet here he was marrying me.
I turned around as my eyes started to burn with tears. He smiles at me and pulled me closer to him leaning his forehead against mine.
"Did you really think I wouldn't want you as a part of my family?" He wiped a tear that escaped my eye and leaned down to place a kiss on my forehead.
"We're married" I whispered. He nodded making me jump on him and hug him tightly. He was my husband now, my dear husband and no one will be able to come between us. He may be able to have four legitimate wives but right now he had one and that was me, he chose me to be his first and most important wife, the most powerful of all of them and with the strongest potential to get her son on the throne. He chose me a mere maid which will start an uproar in the empire but I'm sure my lover will protect us well.
I walked back through the harem making all of the girls jump up and bow down to me lower than they ever have before.
I walked up the steps wanting to stand on the balcony and look down on them. They all had admiration in their eyes seeing me as their role model to what I was able to achieve easily, they all wanted my place but they could only dream about it because Suleiman was mine and I already have to share him with Hurrem and I don't think I will be able to handle another.

I leaned against the railing and looked down at the girls. They all were looking at me with a glint in their eyes, I couldn't tell from up here if it was full admiration or some of it was jealousy too. My gaze wandered over to Halil Agha who gave me a bright smile. He was finally fully on my side and Hurrem can't affect him in any way possible.
My eyes wandered to the door where there was movement. Hurrem stood at the door with her maids looking livid but I knew she had to conceal it to not lose the sultana faced she'd been keeping on for a while now.

I couldn't help but smirk in return to her glare and move my gaze to Rosie and two other maids walking over to me hold Osman, Abdullah, and Ayse. Osman flailed his arms around when he saw me and started screaming the only word he knew,
"Anne!!" (Mom) Rosie placed him in my arms, he wrapped his small arms tightly around my neck in a hug like he just knew his mother was one step closer to the power she needed to protect him. Like he knew that his mommy was able to marry the man she was helplessly in love with and would die for, the man she was loved more than herself and would do anything for. I hated the mere idea of Suleiman not being there or as my sultan and even if my kids took the throne that wouldn't matter I would follow him the moment he took his last breath because we live together we die together.
