Gathering Witnesses

Lottie's POV:
A few days later

Me and Hope were packing a few things to go on the road. We were going to gather witnesses. Marcel and Rebekah are going back to New Orleans to gather some witches, vampires and werewolves. Carlisle and Esme are going to London to find old friends. Isabella, Edward and Renesmee are going to Alaska to get our 'cousins'. Kol and Davina are staying here to welcome those who come before us. Mum and Dad are going to find some of Carlisle's oldest friends. Me, Hope and Nik are going to Mystic Falls to gather the scooby gang.

The scooby gang includes: Stefan Salvatore, Damon Salvatore, Caroline Forbes, Bonnie Bennet, Alaric Saltzman and Jeremy Gilbert

Nik told me about what happened in Mystic Falls. Apparently, just before he and his family left, all of the gang fell out with Elena Gilbert because even after Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Bonnie and Jeremy forgave Nik and his family, Elena tried to kill him.

A few hours later

Me, Nik and Hope were nearly in Mystic Falls but I was starting to grow worried.

I turned to Nik, "What if they don't like me? What if they're scared of me? I mean, and I know you don't like this, I am even more powerful than you."

Hope started laughing, "Lottie. He knows you're more powerful than him, and he most certainly does not like it but he puts up with it. Only because it's you. Trust me, the people in Mystic Falls will love you. Especially Caroline. The do love me after all and I'm also more powerful than my dad so I think you are fine."

I chuckled. I looked at Nik. He had an irritated look on his face but I could tell it was fake as he was trying not to smirk.

"Well try not to worry anymore, because we are here. Welcome, little one, to the Salvatore Boarding House."

We all got out the car and knocked on the door. Stefan answered,

"Klaus. To what do we owe the pleasure?" I giggled.

"Ah, Stefan. Could you call a meeting please? I have something very important to tell you all." Nik asked.

Stefan nodded, "No need, they're already here. Please come on in. It's nice to see you and Hope again."

We walked into the room where everyone was gathered.

"Oi, Stef. Who was at the-- Oh hi Klaus. We weren't expecting you. To what do we owe the pleasure?" I giggled again at what Damon said, drawing the attention to me, "Well who is this beautiful girl?" Damon asked.

I heard Nik growl from behind me and me and Hope were trying not to laugh. Nik had told me about being mates a few days ago but for now we are just best friends.

"Hi Damon. I'm Charlotte Cullen, nice to meet you. I'm Nik's mate." I smiled at him. When he gulped, I heard Hope laugh even more and Nik also started laughing. I soon noticed that everyone except Damon had joined in the laughter.

"Damon, I'd stop trying to flirt with her if I were you." Caroline managed to tell Damon in between her fits of laughter.

"Woah. I didn't notice this when I first came in but you, Caroline, and Bonnie are gorgeous. We're gonna have to go shopping soon. With Hope of course." They both thanked me and promised we would go shopping soon.

"Char, can we go back to what we came here for please? It does involve your safety after all." Nik whined. Yep, you heard me correct. He whined.

"Oh yeah. So the reason we came, is because the Volturi are coming after me and my twin sister. Mainly me though, seen as I'm more powerful than anything on Earth." I added the last bit  in a murmur hoping they didn't hear, because I was ashamed. Seeing this, Nik came over to me and pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear, to low for anyone else in the room to hear,

"Don't be ashamed, love. You're perfect, remember that." I nodded and he let go of me and took a sip of his bourbon. I giggled and took it out of his hands. He pouted but let me have it. I turned my attention back to the others.

Stefan thought about something, then started to speak, "Before we agree to help anyone, can I ask you one thing?" I nodded so he continued, "How exactly are you the most powerful creature on Earth?"

"I am every supernatural creature, and have every supernatural power there is." They all looked amazed.

Caroline and Bonnie nodded at each other, then spoke in sync, "We'll help."

"As long as you promise to let us go shopping with you." Caroline added. I smiled and nodded at them.

A few days later...

We got back home yesterday with the Mystic Falls gang. They were amazed by the house and how open it is. What they didn't like was how the Cullens treated me. Lets just say over the past three days that I have known them, we have all grown really close. The Cullens gathered 18 Cold Ones and Kol, Davina, Rebekah, Marcel and Elijah gathered a small group of witches and a small group of vamps.

In total, we had gathered 27 supernatural creatures to protect me and Renesmee.

When Stephan and Vladimir (two Romanian Cold Ones) showed up, Edward was asking if everyone would be willing to fight the Volturi. I zoned out of the conversation until I heard Edward say,

"Carlisle might not ask you to fight, but I will. For the sake of Renesmee's protection." When he said that, the Mikaelsons, Rosalie and Emmett growled.

"And Charlotte!" Surprisingly, Elijah hissed. Edward and Isabella just scoffed and Edward continued talking,

"Whatever. Anyway, who will fight with us?"

Renesmee's mate stood up,

"The packs will fight. We've never been afraid of vampires." This made Nik chuckle and me to look at Nik with a smirk which he returned.

Kate, Tanya and Carmen stood up,

"We will fight." Tanya stated.

Garret stepped forward,

"This won't be the first time I've fought a King's rule."

Benjamin stood up,

"We will join you." Isabella also stood up.

The Cold Ones from the Amazon Rainforest, the Irish Coven and Jasper's nomad friends also agreed to fight.

"Well that didn't take much." Stephan muttered to Vladimir, fully aware everyone could hear him.

Suddenly everyone was staring at Nik and his family like they were expecting something.

"I have already told you that if it comes to a fight, which it probably won't because me and my family are here, then I will do what is best for the people I care about which doesn't involve any of you guys. If it comes to a fight and Lottie wants me to help, I will but only if Lottie wants me to." Everyone nodded except my biological parents who scoffed.

I tuned into their thoughts,

'I don't get what's so good about her' Edward thought.

'She's such a pathetic child. I wish she was never born.' Hearing my biological mum say that did hurt.

A tear rolled down my cheek and I whimpered slightly. Bekah turned to me and got Nik's attention on me. He pulled me into his lap and I buried my face in his chest.

I felt his chest vibrate as he growled. He continued to growl until i snakes his chest lightly and said to him,

"Nik, please be quiet. I'm trying to sleep." He chuckled, apologized and shut up. Soon enough I had fallen into a deep, peaceful sleep.

When Edward, Isabella and Renesmee had gone to their cottage, and Nik was asleep, I went up to the piano and started playing and singing a song I have written for when Rosalie and Emmet choose their family over me:

If I had concentrated on my senses, I would have heard that everyone in the house, even Isabella, Edward and Renesmee in their cottage, had been listening and were shocked. Either at my ability to sing, or the amount of emotion I had put into that song. Jasper would probably be almost falling asleep with how strong the emotions were coming from me.
