Saturday September 19, 2015.Roberta watched as James helped Sam put up his new clothes.
"Thank you so much auntie..." Sam started.
"Oh hush with all of that boy, you done thanked me a million times already. You are so very welcome baby. You my baby too When you need something don't you ever hesitate to ask. You hear me?" Roberta spoke.
"Yes ma'am." Sam spoke.
"Good, Im gonna go make us something to eat, where is Jeanette?" Roberta asked.
"She's in her room mama." James spoke before looking at Sam.
"You ready for your date today?" James asked.
"Date? Why didn't you tell me you had a date?" Roberta asked. "Where is this date gonna be?"
"At the pizza parlor Uncle Terrence always took us to when we were little" Sam started.
"The one downtown?" Roberta asked.
"Yes ma'am." He spoke.
"You was planning on taking the bus down town baby?" Roberta asked. "You could get mugged."
"I'm taking him mama. It's not that far from the hospital and Tony's bored out of her mind. Bruce needs a break." James chuckled.
Roberta nodded.
"Don't you have your drivers license?" Roberta asked Sam.
"Yes ma'am." Sam spoke.
"Good." Roberta hummed before making her way downstairs.
Terrence was coming inside.
"Hey mama, you looking gorgeous today." Terrence smiled as he pulled her into a hug.
Roberta smiled and kissed Terrence. "I was just about to call you." Roberta spoke.
"Oh yeah?" Terrence asked. "Did you need something from the store sugar I can always run down there."
"No, Um Have you talked to Michael?" Roberta asked.
"No, have you talked to Ruth?" Terrence asked.
"Not since we got into it cause we took Sam in." Roberta spoke. "I can't believe they just abandoned him like that."
"He don't need them, as long as we are alive in this world, he won't ever need them." Terrence spoke.
"Im glad he felt comfortable enough to come over here." Roberta spoke.
"I know." Terrence hummed and kissed Robertas shoulder.
"He offered to get another job since his mama got him fired from the grocery store." Roberta spoke.
"That's not necessary as long as he in school. He just need to focus on that." Terrence spoke.
"That's what I told him but did you know Ruth made him get that job?" Roberta asked.
"What?" Terrence asked.
"Yeah cause supposedly they needed help paying bills the boy couldn't even keep one red hot penny out of his pay. He'd give it all to them. The boy is 16 years old what bills should he have to pay?" Roberta asked.
"I'll talk to him baby. He doesn't have to get a job if he doesn't want to. But if he wants to I won't tell him no." Terrence spoke.
Roberta stood up and Terrence grabbed her hips. "Where you going mama." He asked.
