The 4th year Slytherin's immediately informed the rest of their house. The upper years were informed slyly at the dining table of the great hall during dinner. Draco almost shoot out of his seat he almost yelled "Wha-!" before composing himself and coughing into his hand. Some of the students from the other tables noticed the stiffness the Slytherin's held, they ultimately presumed that they were up to something.

The Teachers, especially their head-of-house, looked at the green table inquisitively. Snape who got questioned replied that they were probably discussing the effectiveness of the patronus-charm against Dementors. While on the topic Professor Flitwick asked when they will have a new teacher for DADA since (luckily) Lockhart quit. McGonagall suggested someone from the previous Marauders but that only opened a new discussion as Sirius Black will soon have a trial since someone demanded it.

Snape however made eye contact with Draco. Draco seeing his Godfathers face knew that he wanted to know what was going on so Draco subtly gestured to his head and eyes. Getting the tip Snape used Legilimency and delved into his Godson's head. After getting the info his snakes were discussing about, Snape became more vigilant and occasionally looked into the lake from windows or hallways as well. After all, it was really dangerous to have a dragon nearby on top of Dementors, he himself hadn't even been aware of one being possibly so close nearby!

Certain students picked up on the weird behavior of the Slytherin's going over and asking about it. These Students (😈-twins, Luna, Neville and the former Champions) were then included into their search party.

During one of the regular flying lessons by Madam Hooch between the Griffindor's and Slytherin's - which obviously gave the teacher a headache- the students each tried the position of seeker. Draco obviously had little problems as he's his house's seeker, it was however very funny to see the others struggle at focusing on a tiny ball flying around. Neville who was looking around looked down between the castles wall into the lake where he saw a giant shadow with green markings glitter through the surface of the lake. He temporarily got so shocked that his broom headed straight down but he got caught by  - to the surprise of others - Draco and his friends. "Are you okay Longbottom?" asked Blaise.

"Uuuh.. Yeah" said Neville only to suddenly look at Draco who raised an Eyebrow. "More importantly! Look into the lake!!" he whisper-yelled into the group. The all looked at each other and flew higher, they broomsticks still intertwined looking like a triangle.
Ron who was helping Hermione keep her broom steady one over before shouting "Madam Hooch! Malfoy and his gang are bullying Neville!" to which Hermione nodded shakily clutching her broom like a cat on a tree branch.

To Ron and Hermione's great dismay and the groups pleasure Madam Hooch replied "For your information Mister Weasley, Mister Malfoy and his friends caught Mister Longbottom who almost fell to the ground. For which I'm awarding them 20pt for helping another student with good teamwork!"

While Ron grumbled near a tree on his broom with Hermione next to him, the silver trio with Neville arrived at a height where they could look over the castle wall into the lake. Draco, Pansy and Blaise understood why Neville almost feel off his broom. They quickly nodded to each other before excusing themselves by bringing Neville for a check-up to the infirmary.

They then (after handing over their brooms) rushed off the field and into the snake nest. On their way they met the twins, Fleur, Cedric and Luna who then came with them. Strangely Luna already had an excuse from the teacher in which Fleur was to bring her to Madam pomfrey for a check-up, the twins on the other hand saw everything from the towers together with Cedric (<-they had a free period, lucky them😂).
They stood in front of the Slytherin common rooms entrance where Draco hastily uttered out the password: "Parseltongue" to which it opened.

The wall opened up and they entered. Snape, hearing the commotion in the common room, stood up from his adjoined office and went over. He was surprised to the see the unusual group with  Lions and Ravens in the Slytherin den. "Draco what it the meaning of this!?" he asked his Godson who stood at the front of the weird group which already got a few glances.
Some other students came into the common room because they heard their head-of-house yell! Arriving downstairs they heard the Malfoy heir respond "We - or rather Longbottom here saw it first - saw a gigantic creature swim inside the lake during our broom lessons which matched it's characteristics! We rushed over here, met up with the weasels and ravens and are now waiting to see if it swims... " explained Draco cutting himself off losing his voice.

Snape raised an eyebrow along with those still standing on the stairs leading to the dorms when they noticed how the room darkened. Some students gawked like fishes (A/N: which was funny considering they're Slytherin's!) while the younger kids hid behind the older ones clutching they're robes. Snape hesitantly turned around while the ones at the stairs slowly stepped down into their common room to look at the giant glass wall.

They saw a giant nose, followed by a neck, belly with wings with who it swam at its back, claws at its arms and a long tail - all adorned with black scales and green fins running from his head to his tail tip across the back. It moved past the window in a motion similar to a whale (Me:... Or the Monster of Loch Ness your preference~!, for illustration look at the cover pic).

Fred and George looked at each other in huge grins which gave Snape a headache when he saw it with the beast which obviously noticed them. To the shock and building fear of the one's breathing air it swam in their direction stopping when it was right in front of the glass separating it from the humans. Some of the students began to reek of a certain odor but no one mentioned it... for now. What shocked them out of their gawking was when it showed it's teeth in.. A motion similar to a smile? 'Weird but terrifying none the less!' thought Snape with some thinking similar things, some of their worst nightmares or just complete nonsense like the twins.
