Apparently dawn was coming but you know it was colder than fucking Antarctica outside. Jesus Christ I was so glad I could create sunlight with my hands. I looked over and saw Bianca explaining to Nico about her choice to join the Hunt. I saw him storm off and I felt a pain of sadness in my heart.
"I'm gonna go talk to him." I said turning to Percy.
He nodded. I ran off and followed Nico into the woods. I found him sitting down silently crying. I sat down next to him and rested my hand on his shoulder.
"hey...Nico right?" I asked.
He turned to me, his eyes puffy and red, "Oh..c'mere bud." I pulled him into a hug and made my hands glow to warm up his shaking body. I let him cry into my winter coat, I felt so bad for him. His only family just left him without any warning. He pulled away and looked up at me, his dark brown almost black eyes looked broken.
"Hey...it'll be okay. I promise."
"H-how could she j-ust leave me." he sniffed.
"Oh...Nico I-...I don't know honestly but, it'll be okay. You'll make so many friends at camp and I'll be there too."
"Really?"
I smiled and nodded, "yeah bud, I won't leave you. Promise."
I hugged the young ten-year old again. I looked around and dawn was nearly upon us. "C'mon you get to meet my dad."
I grabbed his hand and walked him back to where everyone was waiting for Apollo to arrive. I pulled Nico close to Percy and I, Bianca gave Nico a sad look but he wasn't even paying attention. The sun rose but nothing happened, Artemis huffed, "he should be here by now."
That's when I saw light begin to form on the edge of the cliff. I covered Nico's eyes with my hand and shut my own. I saw the light die down from my eyelids and when I opened them there stood a pretty nice car. It was a red Maserati. I saw my dad get out, he flashed a white toothed smile. I knew he used that on every girl he came across, I rolled my eyes and waited for him to notice that I was there.
"Wow, Apollo's hot." Thalia said.
I cringed, "Eww that's my dad you're talking about."
Thalia just shrugged and I rolled my eyes.
"Hey lil sis!" he said.
Artemis scowled, "We're twins you couldn't possibly be older! How many times do I have to tell you?"
My dad just smiled, "You got the girls I see, need any tips on archery?"
Artemis gritted her teeth, "I have some hunting to do alone. I need you to bring them to Camp Half-Blood."
"Sure sis!" he then held up his finger, "I feel a haiku coming on."
The Hunters all groaned, I guessed they'd heard my dad and his haikus before.
"Green grass breaks through snow. Artemis begs for my help. I am so cool."
"The last line was only four syllables." Artemis corrected.
"Was it?"
"How about 'I am so big-headed'?"He shook his head, "No that's six syllables."
Zoe looked at us, "Lord Apollo has been obsessed with haikus ever since his trip to Japan."
We all nodded, "I've got it!" my dad exclaimed, "I am so awesome. That's five syllables! And now sis, you need transportation. Good timing I was just about ready to roll."
