Chapter Four: Elena

I was walking back to the Apollo cabin, trying to keep my tears from falling. Percy wanted to talk and I knew that I was going to cry from just seeing his face. Someone grabbed my arm and whipped me around, I saw Keith standing there looking breathless.

"Elena! Percy found out about Aiden being here!"

My face paled, "What how?"

"I don't know...but you need to help Percy calm down. I think he's gonna kill Aiden."

"Why should I help Percy? He che-"

"No he didn't, okay some girl flung herself at Percy. He kept telling her to back off but she wouldn't listen. I saw the whole thing, Elena! Percy, he cares about you so much. He never wanted to hurt you, I saw him after you stormed from the Big House yesterday. He looked so broken." I felt horrible, I didn't even let Percy share his side of what happened.

"Oh gods! I have to help him." I said before running off.

I heard people screaming, I ran in that direction. I saw a circle of water being formed. I saw the shape of two people inside. One was being attacked from all sides, the other stood controlling it all. I raced toward the water wall, I saw Nico sprinting in my direction. He looked so scared, he collided into me and started crying.

"E-Elena w-what's going on? Is Percy okay?"

"It's okay Nico shh...Percy won't hurt you."

Keith came running over, "Okay Nico stay with my friend Kieth. I need to help Percy."

Nico nodded, I slightly pushed Nico to Keith who held him close. I ran to the water wall and dove through. I instantly got soaked but I didn't care. I saw Percy controlling the water that surrounded us, Aiden was on the ground all bloody and he definitely had a few broken bones. I stood in front of Percy and grabbed his hands.

"Percy...look at me. It's Elena, listen to me. You need to breathe this isn't you." I whispered softly.

I looked into his sea-green eyes. They were hardened with anger, he didn't seem to register that I was there. I reached up and cupped his face in my hands, "Percy...it's me."

Then I kissed him, his body went tense for a moment before relaxing completely. His arms went around my waist and pulled me closer. I knew the water was still surrounding us but I didn't mind, I just needed him to know that I was there. I pulled away and looked into his eyes. They were softer, "Elena..." he whispered in disbelief.

I smiled, "Yeah Percy...I'm here."

He pulled me into a bear hug, his face buried into my neck, "I love you." he murmured into my skin. My eyes widened with shock and pulled away a little.

"Did you just-"

He nodded, "I love you Elena." he said again.

I smiled big and kissed him, "I love you too."

"Please don't ever leave me." he whispered.

"Wouldn't dream of it."

I watched the water die down and return to the lake. I turned to see Aiden unconscious on the ground. I knew he was alive from the shallow rise and fall of his chest.

"Will! Can you help this guy?" I asked.

Will came over, "I don't know I think he's okay. This the abusive ex right?"

I nodded, "We can't just leave him there."

"Yeah you're right, we'll help him but only because we're low on campers."
