Y/n's P.O.V

It was the night of Louis's Christmas party, and even though I loved the parties that he threw, I couldn't stop thinking about the heartbreak that I had endured last Christmas. I had found a guy who I thought was genuinely good. We spent lots of time together, like going out to the movies or simply hanging out at his house as we snuggled up together on the couch.

But, then at Louis' last Christmas party, I received a wrong number text saying, "Hey Jenny, I'll be there at 7," I couldn't believe that the guy I had trusted for nearly a year was cheating on me, and after I received that text, I called him and told him that we were breaking up, and we hadn't spoken to each other since.

Even though my heart still ached, I felt like I was ready to find love again, but this time, I was hoping to find it in someone who I knew very well, and enjoyed spending time with, someone like Louis. Louis and I had known each other ever since me and my family moved to the UK a few years ago. He was one of the few friends I had until he landed the role of Klaus Baudelaire in Asoue, and that's when he introduced me to Malina, Dylan, Avi, Kitana, and Kassius.

"Y/n, are you ready to go? Louis' party starts at seven," Mother called from downstairs. I checked my phone, and I saw that it was already 6:45. Louis lived a couple of blocks away from me, and I knew that it wouldn't take long to get there, perhaps 10 minutes at the maximum. I put on my favorite Christmas headband, grabbed my Secret Santa gift, and ran down the stairs like a child on Christmas day.

"You look so adorable," Mother smiled. I was wearing nothing too crazy, just a simple long green t-shirt, and a nice pair of trousers. "Thanks Mother, is my headband okay for the party?" I asked.  "Yeah, it looks cute!" I smiled at her compliment, and I grabbed my coat from the small rack near the front door and slipped it on.  "Alright, do you have everything you need?" she asked. Secret Santa bag, phone, and Christmas headband, check. That's everything.

"Yep, I've got everything," I answered. Mother grabbed her keys, and we walked out of the house to the small black car that my mother had bought for a few thousand pounds. Sure enough, it took us only 10 minutes to get to Louis' house. His house was covered with multi-colored Christmas lights. It looked so beautiful, and I was impressed with his parent's work.

"Alright, have a good time tonight. Text me if anything comes up or if you need to come home early," Mother said as I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "I will, Love you!" I said, closing the car door behind me after I stepped out of the car. I watched as my mother drove away from the house, and I carefully walked to the front door, careful enough not to slip on the ice that had covered the majority of the driveway.

Soon, I reached the front door, and I knocked on it gently with a gloved hand. From the small window by the side of the door, I could see someone rushing over to the door, and from the quick glance I could get, I saw that it was Louis.
