I knew that Y/n was mad at me. Sure, she may have saw Kitana kiss me, but she didn't know that I didn't kiss her back. She hadn't come out of the bathroom for a while, and I felt my stomach tie itself into a knot as I realized that she was really upset. Malina had got up to check on her, but she didn't come back until fifteen minutes later.

"Malina, is Y/n okay?" I asked as she took a sip of her hot cocoa. She looked up at me and back down at her black cup. "She's fine. She's just sick," Malina answered. I could tell that she was lying, the way her eyes quickly looked over to the other side of the room, and then looked back down, hoping that nobody had noticed. Kitana looked over at me with a look of disappointment on her face. I meant for this night to be a fun one. Not a night of people being upset and angry with me.

Without a second thought, I stood up from the sofa and walked down the hall towards the bathroom, where I heard the sound of muffled crying, and I heard Y/n was on the phone talking to someone, probably her mum. "I don't know, the point is that something happened, and I don't feel comfortable talking about it until I get home. No! Nobody tried to take advantage of me, mum. It's teenage drama," she explained after I heard the faint sound of her mother's voice.

"Well, I guess I'll give the party another chance. I'll call you if anything comes up," Y/n said before ending the call. It was tempting to knock on the door and try to talk to her, but it was obvious she didn't want to talk or even look at me. I went back to the party, and I put on a Christmas movie to get the party back on the right track. And hopefully forget about what happened in the sitting room. After we voted on what Christmas movie to watch, we put on Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer. Y/n came back into the room and sat down next to Malina and Dylan.

She occasionally leaned over to Malina and whispered something to hear, but I couldn't make out what she was saying. I got up from the couch and grabbed a few Christmas cookies that were in different shapes. A snowman, a Christmas tree and a present. I was hoping to make them last throughout the movie, but I ended up polishing them off within a few minutes. Once I finished eating those cookies, I got up and got a few more. After a while, I started to realize that I was stress eating.

The only time I ate a lot of food when I was stressed. Was the day before we worked on the Slippery Slope. I don't know what it was, but I felt the sudden urge to eat a lot of food, and it was hard for people to get me to stop. Usually, the source of it would be because of work, but this time it wasn't. The source of my stress was Y/n. I needed to tell her the truth about what happened between Kitana and me. But, I had no idea how I was going to tell her if she didn't want to talk to me.

I tried not to make it look like I was staring at Y/n, so I looked at the Christmas tree and stared at the red, gold, and green gift bags that were underneath it. I had a secret Santa gift to give someone, and I couldn't wait for her to see what it was.
