The next morning, Wilbur was fully suited up for his training session with Russell. He had a whole obstacle course of rigged traps for Wilbur to get through. "Remember Wilbur...think outside the box. It's not always about your powers, it's about your reflexes." Russell explained.

Wilbur nodded as he slid on his mask, panting softly as he got ready to move quickly.

Traps began to sprang towards Wilbur as he ran down the obstacles, using his internal antennas to avoid any projectile weapons. Darts flew by Wilbur as one of them hit his hand. Wilbur grunted softly as he kept going. He kept telling himself to keep going and to ignore the pain.

"Keep going, Wilbur! I believe in you!" Russell tried to motivate him. Wilbur then came across four huge swinging axes in a row, dangling ominously as Wilbur tried timing when the path was clear. He took a deep breath, yelling loudly as he backflipped through the axes quickly.

Russell was amazed at Wilbur's physiology. He moved at the most amazing reflexes of a common insect, like he used to when he was young. Wilbur tried climbing up the pole, avoiding the barbed wire below him.

He dropped to the ground and ran across the dirt. His internal antennas warned him about the two flying buzzsaws falling at him. He avoided the falling blades, similarly to how he avoided Captain Frisbee's attacks at the bank.

Wilbur panted softly as she jogged over towards Russell, wiping the sweat off of his forehead.

Russell checked the timer. "All in seven minutes. You did...adequately." He smirked softly.

"If you call an army obstacle course over just having fun." Wilbur chuckled softly as he looked up at Russell. "Trust me, it'll get more progressively harder as we go on." Russell added. "Russell, how long have I been working with you?" Wilbur would asked. "A couple of weeks, why?" Russell said, raising a eyebrow at Wilbur.

"Whatever challenge you throw my way, I'll be ready for." Wilbur reassured him with a smile, taking his breath as he soon all the way up. "So...what else I have to do?"

Later that morning, Russell and Wilbur were standing on the ledge of a tall building. It was finally time for him to teach Wilbur how to fly properly. Wilbur was jittery as he looked at the traffic down below. He were 70 stories up. "Umm Russell, I don't think this is safe." Wilbur said nervously.

"Come on! Don't tell me your nervous now!" Russell said, standing on the ledge with him. "I'm just afraid of heights, okay? I'm not okay with...high places." Wilbur got more scared as his eyes tried to avoid looking down.

"Wilbur, you're Red Dragonfly." Russell motivated him once more. "You were given these wings for a reason. Just look at me, it's a walk in the park." Russell stepped off the ledge as his wings sprung out of his back. He hovered around Wilbur as he smiled softly at him. "See? Your wings are your friends. They'll protect you."

Wilbur gulped softly. He took one step off the ledge, expecting his wings to come out like Russell's did. But somehow...that didn't happen.

Wilbur screamed loudly as he fell off the 70 story building. "Kid!" Russell yelled as he swooped in to catch Wilbur. "Hold on, I'm gonna catch you!" Wilbur waved his arms around as he looked up to see Russell flying towards him.

But then...

WHOOSH!

Wilbur's wings sprung out of his back as well, flapping rapidly as he started to get the hang of his flying. He let out a happy laugh, trying to concentrate on his highest flight possible. Russell smiled softly as he saw Wilbur flying. "Arms by your side! Get control of your wings! You're clashing! You're pearling!" Russell yelled as Wilbur smacked into a few buildings, yelling loudly as she knocked over a nearby billboard.
