The ceramic bowl on the counter is filled to the brim with warm water so when the broth is poured in it doesn't shatter.
The fluffy cloud of egg is golden on the side as the yolk firms with a thin layer protecting it from popping and flooding through the pan.
Soy sauce and hot yari sauce lay on th eside as the capful of Togarashi stings the taste buds. Warped reflection dots the noodles as their traditional yellow tint is corroded by the beef broth.
Minced onion and lemon pepper is added to the mix as the milky white tofu is sliced and added to the broth.
Then with quickness the miso noodles are dropped into the beef broth.
A timer clicks and the lid to the rice cooker flips open.
A small rice ball is formed with honey keeping it together, then a small slice of salamon is added with a dash of wasabi. Then the small ball of sushi is wrapped with a slice of sushi nori.
Celery, green onions and a spoonful of minced garlic is set to the side as I pour the broth and noodles into the large bowl.
