He murmured. "I miss you so much."
I turned my head at him when I felt something wetting my neck.
"Please come back to me." He was crying.
"Christian-"
"I'll do anything. I'll do whatever you want me to do. Just please... please."

"Honey? Are you okay?"
I gasped for air. "Mom, Chris and I-" I was about to tell her about the break up but got cut off by Alex who walked through the kitchen door with none other than Chris. Fantastic!
Alex and Chris were teammates so they would hang out together sometimes and this was the first time since we broke up. I usually went home late but because my classes got cancelled that day, I was the first one to get home. He must have thought he was going to leave before I arrived.
"Christian? What a coincidence! I was just talking about you." Mom smiled and went to hug him.
"He-hello Mrs Cassidy."
"Nonsense. I told you to stop with the honorifics."
"Mom, what are you doing here?" Alex asked.
"Hey, what's wrong with you two? You didn't want us to come back?" Dad walked in on us once more.
"Why didn't you tell us you were coming back?"
"You brat, you're not even going to give me a hug?" Dad said putting his one hand on his hip. Alex playfully rolled his eyes and went to hug him. Dad gestured at Chris in acknowledgement and Chris restored the gesture.
"Mom, we'll be in my room."
"Okay honey. I'll call you when the food is ready." Alex nodded. A few minutes after he disappeared with Chris, Elena and her family arrived. Mom and I finished cooking and she asked me to go call Alex, Chris and Hanna.
The dinner was okay. We were all happy that our parents were back, even if it was for a while.
I'm not even going to start on the awkwardness between me and Chris in that dinner table.
"It's already late, why don't you sleepover?" I threw a shocked glare at mom but luckily, Chris respectfully rejected the offer. "At least walk him out. What's wrong with you?"
