—YOUR POV—
You woke with a jump. Draco was shaking you awake.
"Whats wrong, love? Are you ok?" You said sleepily.
"Come on. We're leaving," he said shortly. You hopped up quickly without asking questions and started to pack.
"Where are we going? Back to Hogwarts?" you asked as you closed up your trunk.
"That's what i planned on. Is that ok?"
"Anywhere but here is ok," you answered, standing up and embracing Draco. You heard him sniffle a bit. You didn't know why he was crying, besides the fact his mom died, you were leaving and it was a good thing. Right? He has a lot going on. It's normal to cry randomly.
"We should go,". he said, wiping his tears. You nodded and he pulled out his wand. You grabbed your trunk then realized Draco hadn't packed anything.
"Draco what about-" he had already apparated you. You felt you stomach churn and you felt a cold wind, then you felt yourself on the floor of Draco's dorm. You smiled and stood up slowly. You were a little dizzy and almost fell over, but Draco caught you. He suddenly embraced you tightly and cried into your shoulder.
"Draco, what's wrong, love?"
"I love you. So much. I'm going to miss you more than anything. But you don't belong with me. You can't be with me. I could never forgive myself if something happened to you. I'm sorry," before you could say another word he pushed you into the bed and disapparated himself. You stood up quickly and called for him. Then you dropped to the floor in tears. All you could feel was pain. He'd left you. How could he. He left you alone.
"Come back to me! Please! I need you!". You screamed through sobs. You didn't want to have to live without Draco. You couldn't live without him. You had to get back to Malfoy Manor. There was no other choice. Draco had told you about a war, a war the death-eaters were planning to start. You had to get to the Manor before this happened. It was your turn to save Draco. You had to get him out of there.—DRACOS POV—
As soon as I entered my room I dropped to the floor in tears. I might never see her again. And if I did she probably hates me. But I still love her. I would never stop loving her. She's my work. She makes me a better man. I hurt her. But it was for her safety. I tried to reassure myself that I did the right thing. But no matter how many times I told myself this, it still hurt more than anything to not be able to hold her in my arms. I heard the front door open with a slam. Father was home.—
—YOUR POV—
You sat through meals the next day and all you could think about was Draco. Were you mad at him? Did you miss him? Were you worried for him? You knew the answers to all of these questions, but you didn't want to except it. You wanted to be mad at him. You didn't want to miss him. You didn't want to worry about him. But you weren't mad him, you missed him more than anything, and all you could do was worry. You jumped as you felt a hand grab your shoulder. You turned around to see Fred and George. You smiled distantly.
"Dinner was over 20 minutes ago, y/n," Fred laughed. You gasped and looked at your watch. Idiot.
"We missed you so much. I wish you wouldn't have gone with Draco," George said as you stood up and embraced him tightly. He still felt so warm and homey. But nothing compared to Draco. It hurt you to be comparing everyone to him. But you'd could never love anyone as much as Draco.
"I've missed you too. Any news of my father?" You asked urgently.
"Nothing really. He's pissed you left without telling him though. The only thing that's been weird is that he's been...relatively nice," Fred answered. You rolled your eyes.
"I can't believe he didn't expect me to leave," you said, obviously annoyed. "I'm going to go talk to him. I hope I don't regret it," you walked past Fred and George. You turned back around after you'd taken a few steps. "Are you guys coming or what?" They smiled and followed quickly behind you. You walked through the halls towards the dungeons. Once you reached them you fast-walked to your fathers office, hoping he was there. You burst into the door, Fred and George on your tail, and crossed your arms once you saw your father sitting at his desk. He looked up and smiled. He tried to walk over to you and give you a hug, but you dodged him.
"I've given you a week. It's time to explain," you demanded. His smile curled into a frown. He walked back to his desk and sat down slowly.
"I've told you, darling. I cant. Not yet," You scoffed and rolled your eyes.
"Why? Why can't you just tell me? I'm your daughter for christ's sake!"
"I-I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you. It's just not time,"
"You haven't changed. I thought maybe you'd have a change of heart," you spun around on your heal and walked out of the room, Fred and George close behind.
"UGH! Why can't he just tell me!" You complained as you walked towards the Slytherin common room. You stopped at the door and spun around to face the twins.
"I'm sorry, y/n. Nobody deserves to find out their father is a murderer," Fred comforted. You nodded your head sadly. George suddenly wrapped his arms around you and you didn't hesitate to return the hug.
"I love you. We're here for you," George said.
"I love you too. Both of you. Thank you for being my best friends," you replied, pulling out of the hug to embrace Fred. Once you let go of Fred you said bye and went into the common room. You saw Blaise sitting on the couch.
"Zabini! I've missed you so much!" You ran up to him and he quickly jumped up from the couch he was sitting on.
"Y/n! Where were you?" He asked, giving you a tight hug.
"Draco's. We haven't talked in so long, I don't think i told you about him. I'm sure you knew though."
"I-I uh...didn't actually. I'm happy for you though!" He lied. You sort of chuckled.
"I still love you, Blaise. Your still my best friend.". Blaise blushed and smiled.
"I love you too. So? Where Draco?"
"Oh...ummm...It's a long story."
"I've got time," You smiled and you both sat down. on the couch in front of the fire.
"His...uh...mom died. A few days ago he got the news. He was devastated. Then he realized how angry his dad would be- you know his dad, always taking things out on him- so he told me we were leaving. One morning he woke me up, appeared me here, then apparated back," You explained, looking at your hands.
"He left you?! Why would he do that?"
"I think he thought that...that I would be safer here...alone. He didn't want his dad to come find him if we were here together," You looked into Blaise's eyes which were filled with curiosity.
"That's terrible! I can't believe he left you like that,"
"He was just protecting me. But i'm going back. I have to help him,"
"From what? His father? There's nothing you can do-"
"No. He's a death-eater as you know. So he's going to be forced to be on their side when...when the war comes," You said nervously
"War?! What war?"
"There's going to be war. Not this year. But their starting to choose death-eaters. Draco was...chosen. So he's going to be forced to carry out missions for the....Dark Lord," You looked back at the fire, avoiding Blaise's eyes.
"I- Wow," was all he could get out.
"I know. Will you help me get back to him?" You asked, still avoiding his eyes.
"Of course i will. I can tell how much you love him. You would do anything for him, he would do anything for you. That's how much you love each other," You could tell he was hinting at himself. You smiled and gave him a huge hug.
"Thank you so much," You pulled out of the hug and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He blushed and looked at his hands, you laughed. "So...What's the plan?"
