Poem - A Song for Thanksgiving

The family comes together in a simple living space

Everyone is gathered, each one has a place

They come into a circle, holding hands to say grace

Everyone is gathered, each one has a place

They sit down at the table, joy on every radiant face

Everyone is gathered, each one has a place

Carving a roast turkey, or ham with honey glaze

Everyone is gathered, each one has a place

These are snapshots of heaven, a miniature foretaste

When everyone is gathered, and each one has a place.
