there was once a girl. she had a shining smile, wide, curious eyes, and long golden hair. her true beauty, however, was in the warmth of her heart. everywhere she went, she spread laughter and joy, and with each conversation she brightened lives.
then one day, this radiant girl met a boy. he was strange in many ways. he spoke differently than most people and his smile never quite reached his eyes. and so, the girl who was the sun decided to shine her light upon his life, and said "hello."
the boy was confused. why would the sun herself be talking to him, a shadow? and yet there she was before him, her golden hair and shining eyes stealing away his breath and captivating his spirit. he asked her to dinner and they sat, but the candles upon the table were not illuminating the room, she was.
and on that day, the boy smiled the kind of smile that reaches the eyes. and he felt as if he had stepped through a doorway into a whole new life, one where so many things were possible.
and the shadow loved the sun. likewise, the sun loved the shadow, so much so that his darkness itself began to fade as she shared her light. slowly, the shadow was becoming a star, shining with his love for her.
