Tatsuya x Mayumi

chp7- School Gardens

The student council made the announcement that thursday, friday and the weekends after school they are planting a garden at the side of the school.

Today was Thursday and in the morning the school council asked Miki, Leo and Tatsuya if they could help out. Leo and Miki signed up on the form but Tatsuya said no.

"Why?" Mari asked.

"After school I'm going out to meet up with a friend" Tatsuya explained coldly and then left.

"Is his friend that important? What with with that tone?" Mayumi asked with her arms crossed.

"Well I dont know the person that well but i know that it's a girl and her and Tatsuya are close. I think she is foreign" Miyuki says.

"Well, he can still help out on the other days" Mayumi says whilst signing him up.

"Um, president I dont think Tatsuya would be very happy with you signing him up without his permission" Miki said to Mayumi.

"He will live" Mayumi said with a smile.

At the end of the school day Tatsuya was on the phone on the roof. Mayumi saw him and decided to go to him.

When she got up she heard "that's fine, I'll see you soon. It's a shame you go back soon..... Yh I know but I had school so I can only meet with you at certain times.... bye"

He declined the call and was about to leave.

"Tat~su~ya kun, I thought you had to meet your friend?" She said in a spiteful way.

"Yes, I am just about to go now" Tatsuya said as he began to walk.

Mayumi pulled him back and said "who is so important that you cant help us right now?"

"An old friend who I dont get to see a lot. Also even a casual friends is more important than helping the school out right now, especially when the school has like 100 people volunteering" Tatsuya said strongly.

"So? Cant you help out on the weekends? Your tone this morning was really unappreciated" Mayumi said with her arms crossed.

"Well I'm sorry about that. Now can I go?" Tatsuya requested.

"Of course not! Your going to meet some dumb girl over helping me and the school! Why would I allow that?" Mayumi screeched.

"Who are you to decide what I can do?" Tatsuya said calmly.

Mayumi was silent. Tatsuya began to leave again.

"You tell me! Who am I? Especially to you" Mayumi demanded.

There was silence between them. Mayumi had an intense look and Tatsuya had a calm not bothered look.
They could hear the other students voice from outside. Mayumi had her hands in a fist. Her heart was beating fast waiting for an answer.

After a while Tatsuya said "Nothing special" like she was actually nothing.

He left and made his way downstairs.

Mayumi stopped. She almost broke down in tears right there. She stared at the floor, "maybe I shouldn't have gotten involved but,... is just wanting to spend more time with you that annoying to you" she thought.

Tears dripped down her face as she stood there unable to move.

As Tatsuya walked down the school even he felt uneasy. "Maybe that was a bit too much. I shouldn't have said that. I need to apologise but if I dont meet my friend now I wont get a chance in a while. Think Tatsuya, how can you make this work?" He thought to himself.

Tatsuya walked back up to the roof to see mayumi with tears rolling down her face.

He walked up to her. "Mayumi" he said gently as he ran his hand through her hair, his hand was gripping a huge part of it almost messaging her scalp as he pulled her in. She was now in his embrace. Her head was on his chest, his hand in her hair and around her waist.

Mayumi couldnt speak nor move. She just stood there and accepted his embrace. His blazer was open so she cried onto his shirt.

"Mayumi, I'm sorry for what I said. Are you ok?" He said gently.

Mayumi managed to hug him back. She nodded and then raised her head slightly, she looked up at him whilst having her chin on him still.

Tatsuya took his hand out of her hair and gave her a water bottle. She thanked him and drank it.

Tatsuya let go of her off her and she pouted. "Sorry" Tatsuya said. He hugged her again but Tatsuya backed her against a wall so that no one could see. Mayumi was worried that her hair would get ruined so they swapped sides.

Tatsuya had his back against the wall slightly and mayumi leaned on him.

"What about your friend?" mayumi asked.

"Well I need to speak to Miyuki but I'll probably go to Italy with over the weekend to meet my friend there" Tatsuya explained.

"Oh that's a shame that you have to delay it" mayumi said putting both her hands on his strong rib cage whilst smiling.

"You look happy though" he said to her pulling her cheeks.

Mayumi giggled and Tatsuya pulled her cheek.

They laughed and then went downstairs. Tatsuya tells Miyuki that he wants them to go to Italy for the weekend and she agrees. They then begin to plant flowers.

On friday he stayed back again and at 6pm when they finished for the day Mayumi gave Tatsuya a lollipop as a reward. He thanked her and then left.
