On the rooftop

Yeona immediately ran up to the rooftop because she knew that Daniel would be there.

"Hey", she started the conversation.

Daniel turned around facing her as he shot her a small smile.

"Hey"

"Daniel, let's have a talk", Yeona stated in all seriousness.

Daniel started to get a bit nervous but still remained a calm and collected appearance.

"Sure, go on"

"Let's stop", Yeona said.

"Stop what?"

"Being friends. Let's stop being friends", Yeona said sternly.

Daniel felt his heart sinking to the ground.

"W-what?"

"What did I do wrong? I promise I'm going to change but please don't do this", Daniel begged her.

"No, it's not your fault. I'm just getting tired of you", Yeona tried her best not break down in tears.

Daniel already felt his vision starting to get blurry.

Yeona couldn't look at the boy.

It was too painful to watch for her.

But it was for his own good.

"You're lying", Daniel uttered.

He knew that she was not telling the truth.

"Yeona, look at me"

Yeona just couldn't look at him, so he harshly turned her by her shoulders towards him.

They were staring into each other's eyes now.

Daniel was already a crying mess.

But Yeona still kept her poker face.

She was certainly good at hiding her emotions.

"Listen dude, just accept the fact that I don't want you around me. Now let me go", Yeona said trying her best to seem annoyed.

But Daniel's grib was still strong on her shoulders to keep her in place.

"No, tell me the truth Yeona!"

"What the heck? I told you the truth already, so let me go!"

Both of them were screaming at this point.

"Can't you see? I just used you to entertain myself. You don't mean anything to me. I don't even like you. You are the most annoying person I have ever met. Just leave me alone, got it?"

All her words shot right through his heart.

It hurt.

It hurt a lot.

It hurt so much that all the strength left in his body suddenly disappeared into thin air.

His arms that were on Yeona's shoulders slowly sank down and his legs felt too weak to hold his body up, so he collapsed to the ground.

Yeona wanted to just apologize and comfort him as she saw how devastated he was but she couldn't.

It was for his own safety.

As soon as Yeona left the rooftop, Daniel started to go completely insane.

Tears started to flow down his tears.

She was all he had.

Yeona meant the world to him and now that she was gone, it felt like his whole world crashed down.
