trigger warning: death and slight gore

"guys, i think i found sangyeon hyung!", younghoon's voice echoed from the living room. he surely was stunned by the sudden screaming and deafening silence but figured he'd take a good look along the surroundings whilst tending to chanhee first. that's where he spotted someone's arm peeking from behind the couch - an oddly familiar silver ring adorning the mystery person's finger.

i have the same ring.

he creased his brows out of curiosity and carefully placed the frail body of the latter down just for a bit to go and check the mysterious scene for himself, not missing the chance to pay his hand a glance where an exact replica of the ring wrapped around his finger. he and the boys, except a certain brunette, got themselves matching ones a few years back saying that it symbolized their undying brotherly bond.

well, at least their bonds were "undying", two of them have already died tonight.

"sangyeon hyung?", he questioned with heavy steps, approaching the 'body'. there was an eerie feeling crawling up his system and younghoon couldn't believe what he saw next as he came face to face with the lifeless carcass of their eldest. he wanted to scream yet he found himself incapable of even releasing a single peep. he took a loud step back, almost slamming his foot against the floor before hurriedly scurrying to chanhee's body. he lifted the boy up as if he were as light as cotton and dashed to where the others were.

it was in the kitchen where the other dead boy's appearance caught him off guard the second time around, literally sending him tumbling down the floor with chanhee already whining as all the sudden movements drove him to consciousness. younghoon could only elicit a defeated mewl, his glassy eyes meeting hyunjae's bloodshot ones as the latter wiped his mouth from all the vomiting with eric. everything felt like a movie scene yet the only difference was that this was real. there were no cameras present, no director to scream a deafening 'CUT!', no staffs to rush over them and cheer on them for their brilliant acting, no crew to fix their appearances -

and no haknyeon and sangyeon to laugh and rise from their lifeless roles.

"w-what the fuck?", younghoon whispered, his voice breaking just as the others continued breaking down. "is this all.. real?", not a soul in the room answered him, not wanting to believe what they were currently witnessing. a longer silence prevailed

"cause sangyeon's dead.", he added. chanhee who already had his eyes wide open for the past few minutes clutched unto the fabric of younghoon's sweater and snuggled closer for dear life. the latter noticed this and held the younger male for comfort, giving him the warmth he needed despite his equally depressed state. he cared so much for the younger one after all.

hyunjae who had his eyes plastered on the two let out a scoff, causing everyone in the room to drift their attention towards him in question.

hyunjae hated attention seekers

"haknyeon wouldn't kill himself, this isn't suicide.", he firmly stated. the others agreed at an instant with a nod, knowing how bright and positive their brother was. the boy was a literal ball of sunshine and even though he has a few unwanted sides to him likened to every other person, he couldn't do something as worse as that. "he's not capable of murdering someone, either.", he added, his dark pair of orbs meeting jacob's much darker ones.

and he sure was one

"i-if sangyeon's d-dead then was all that b.. b-blood..", eric stammered, covering his mouth as he felt his stomach acting up again.
