"Now, how's your prodigy doing?"

"I think he's learning well, master. He seems to be adapting to new shapes and sizes better than before. And within time I'm sure he'll be able to adapt to different types of people and mutant quirks just by looking at them."

"That's good to hear. Anything else to report?"

"There is, master. You said we had similar quirks so I told him to think about protecting the item he was moving."

"Hmm?"

"The next day he moved said object into another room, and the apple became as hard as a brick."

"Oh?"

"Yes, I thought about it a bit and came up with a conclusion. The object became harder because he was protecting it so well. And it went to a different room because he was thinking of the room, even without knowing its exact coordinates."

"Hmm. Well, that is very interesting news. Good work Kurogiri."

"Yes, thank you, master."

"I think it's time he moves on to the next training process, don't you think so too?"

"Yes master, I believe it's time."

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!"

I wake up to the sound of Shigaraki yelling, again. What now? I leave my room after getting dressed in a new suit like Kurogiri's, and head to the bar.

Kurogiri is cleaning a glass cup again, and Shigaraki is yelling at a box? "What the fuck is this? Some lab experiments? Unless it can help us I say we get rid of it!" Shigaraki says pointing to a box.

"Unfortunately it won't help you, but it will help Giri." Kurogiri says. Wait me? I walk into the room letting my presence be known. "Ah, perfect timing." Kurogiri puts the glass and cloth down. "Come here I have something to show you," Kurogiri tells me, so I follow him over to the box that Shigaraki takes a few steps away from. Kurogiri takes the cloth off the box to reveal...

...mice? Or was it some rats?

I've read books about these before! It's either some rats or mice!

"These are nice." Kurogiri says. I was right, yes! But Shigaraki is freaking out about mice? Why? They look so cute! I turn to Shigaraki and tilt my head in a questioning way.

"What do you want brat?" He askes.

Kurogiri answers in his place. "Yes, he has a problem with mice."

I grab my stomach and lean over to make it look like I was laughing. I kind of was, but it was only a soundless laugh as air escaped me just like breathing. But it kind of is funny. Shigaraki gets mad and yells at me. "What! You think it's funny?! I never said I was afraid of those stupid lab rats!"

"He cants even say the word mice." Kurogiri says in a fake sad voice and shakes his head. That makes me want to laugh even harder, as I wipe a fake tear off my face.

"Not like the tittle brat can say anything." Shigaraki mumbles earning a glare from Kurogiri.

"Whatever fuck you to Kuro!" Shigaraki storms of slamming his door.

"Kurogiri looks at me when I stop acting like I was laughing. "Now that he's gone, we have some time before he gets bored again from lack of games. Let's hurry up now." I nod and look back over at the mice.

I stretch out both of my arms and glare at one mouse. A portal forms under him and he disappears. Another portal form in the box next to his and the mouse goes through.

I watch the mouse,

waiting,

for it to move,

or blink.

It stays still.

Did I do something wrong? Oh no did I hurt it?

Kurogiri takes the top of the second box and reaches a gloved hand in. He picks up the mouse and inspects it. "The only problem here is that it turned to stone." He tells me placing the mouse down on the bar.

Oh no, I hurt it? I reach out to pet it, but it's hard, like a rock. I start to get upset. So I killed it?

"Don't worry." Kurogiri places a hand on my shoulder and I look up at him. "This is why we're testing it on mice first, not people. And they're all old and going to die soon anyway so that doesn't matter." Kurogiri reassures me. Oh, I guess that makes me feel somewhat better.

I lied through my fogged mouth. He can't get upset over something like this. It's best not to tell him, but his eyes did seem to brighten up a bit when I told him. I have to do what I must.

The first mouse turned to stone.

The second one moved around slowly.

The third one blinked but again couldn't move.

The fourth one was missing a tail and it's back two legs.

The fifth one was back to stone

And the sixth one...

...we don't talk about.

After the sixth one Kurogiri let me go back to practicing on apples for the rest of the day. But how could I do that? It was just a mouse, but how? I didn't know I could even do that... I mean I knew I could do it to fruit, but not like that...

Focus... Don't let the apple turn out like mice...

"What are you doing brat?" Shigaraki says close to me. I get startled by him and jump back hitting him. "Oww." I turn around to see Shigaraki pinching his nose. "That hurt, you little brat!" Eek!

"Shigaraki was there something you wanted? Or are you going to practice to?" Kurogiri speaks up from behind the bar, stopping Shigaraki from lunging at me.

"Uh yeah. I'm going out for a bit." Shigaraki says. At least he forgot about his nose.

"Good glad you're getting some sunlight. Can you do some shopping for me?" Kurogiri askes pulling out a wallet. Since when does mom have a wallet?

"Any why would I do that?" Shigaraki asked.

"Because you haven't been training all day. and think of this as a side quest from your training. Unless you want to do some more training?" Kurogiri glares at Shigaraki And takes out some money holding it out for him to take along with a list. He has a list in his wallet with money? Was he waiting for this?

Shigaraki sighs. "Fine." And snatches the money from Kurogiri stuffing it in his hoodie pocket.

"And take Giri with you." Kurogiri says walking out from behind the bar.

"And why should I?" Shigaraki askes clearly not happy.

"Because you can't carry all the bags with just four fingers, and it's been some time since he's been outside." Kurogiri walks towards the hallway door.

"But-" Kurogiri cuts of Shigaraki.

"Or do you want another week of training, and no games, to make up for today?" Kurogiri leaves the room with that.

Shigaraki sighs and glares at me. "Fine, brat let's go."
