Chapter 4

Me and Alex are hanging out today at the local hang out for teenagers in our town.  It's basicly like a mini mall that goes right down State Street.  We were talking about leaving, just running away and starting over at the first chance.  When all of a sudden one of Alexs' enemys came up to us.  It was Sterling and his gang of has beens.  This moment stays in my  like a burning candle waiting for the memory to burn out.  He told us we should'nt be messing with him and his "possy",  Alex called him a few swear words as did Sterling.  When Sterling notioned to me i wish i would of ran just like Alex told me to, but I didn't.  I was frozen in my own grave.  Sterling had threatened to kill me because he knew it would make Alex mad, Boy was he right.  Alex was furious and tackled Sterling to the ground and started beating him up  when i noticed all of Sterling's "possy".  All of their guns were pointed at us.  I yelled and i told Alex to run when Sterling finally got the last punch knocking Alex to the ground giving Sterling just enough time to sit up and pull his gun out too.  Alex and I were now pleading for both of our lives and all i could think about was that letter waiting in the mailbox by my driveway that i might never get to read, All the promises Alex made for the both of us he would never get to keep.  The last thing i heard anyone of them say was Sterling he said," Ok, You want us to leave! fine!"  I heard a shot then another.  I looked over at Alex when we both fell to the ground.  The smell and the site of blood everywhere flooded my mind as i lingered off into uncontiousness.  I heard bells or more like sirens, in my mind i saw Joe, all my eyes saw was darkness followed by pain and the voices of perimettics.
