The magical alarm clock on my nightstand wakes me up with its screeching. Turning to shut it off, I look out the window and groan. The sky is dark, gray and stormy, lightning flashing at an alarming frequency.

"Lily, guess what!" Phoenix's voice rings out from her bed as she swings her legs to the side of it. I hear Don groan from her bed, and she pulls her curtains shut tight.

"What?" I ask, tilting my head at her.

"I got asked out on a date tonight! I was hoping you'd be willing to help me get ready. That offer extends to you as well Dom!"

"Yeah, I will! Who's the lucky guy? Or is it a girl?"

"Guy. I'll tell you more after the date. I don't want to get my hopes up."

Getting up, I change into my robes, putting the wings on with a charm, so I don't have to bother with the strings. The day passes slowly, the clock barely moving as it ticks away the seconds. Finally, when my classes are over, I run to my dorm, where I change out of my robes. I don't wear them too much, since I'm clumsy and tend to trip over them and tangle them around my legs.

Looking down at my watch, I notice its 2:55. Crap. Grabbing my tennis shoes and throwing them on over my socks, I grab my potions stuff and think for a moment before realizing that it would be faster for me to run across the courtyard instead of taking my passages. Running through it, I get a little muddy. Waving my wand, I manage to make most of it go away and avoid spreading it in the corridors.

I arrive at the library with just a minute to spare. I quickly pull up my hair and head inside, finding Scorpius in our usual corner, and walk over to the table. He jumps a bit as I plop my stuff down on the table, "Sorry," I mutter with a bit of a grin.

"It's okay," he laughs, "You've got some mud on your face," he reaches and wipes it off with his finger. This action causes both my heart and wings to flutter faster. Luckily, no one can see this corner, unless you look past a specific bookshelf. Glancing behind me, I'm relieved that no one is there.

"Y-you could've just used magic," I mutter, feeling my face go red.

"Speaking of magic, we need to work on your potions homework," he says, which gains him a groan in response.

After we've finished studying, I feel a bit more confident about my potions work, "I gotta go-I promised Phoe I'd help her get ready for her da-dinner! For dinner!" I rush out. Crap! I almost told him.

'Told me what?' I hear his voice in my mind.

'Fuck I forgot you could do that!'

'C'Mon tell me,' He smirks, a bit, his stormy gray eyes twinkling in the sunlight drifting in from the window next to the table we're sitting near.

'Please don't tell Phoe...'

'I won't.'

'She's going on a date...'

'With who?'

'She didn't tell me,' I'm not lying, as she had genuinely not told me, "Well, I better go. Bye."

"Bye. Good luck on the potions test tomorrow," Scorpius gathers his stuff.

"Thanks," I reply, kissing him on the cheek before I leave.

MY SISTER IS GOING ON A DATE!? IM GONNA KILL THE IDIOT WHO ASKED HER OUT!! I walk back to my dorm, trying to figure out who would be stupid enough to ask her out. She's only 13! So is your girlfriend. Still, she's your sister!

"Snake," I tell the wall before I walk in the common room. Calming myself, I go to my dorm and open the door, "What are you doing, Albus?!" I burst out laughing at the sight of him trying to tame his unruly hair with some hair gel, "You're going to need much stronger stuff to get that hair to do anything. Anyway, why are you doing your hair? It's not like you have a date..?"

"You never did learn to shut up, did you?" Albus snaps, "And yes, I do have a date. With the person I've liked for years but never had the guts to ask out."

"You?!" I yell, loud enough for the whole common room to hear, "You're the idiot who's taking my sister out!?"

"Jee, rub it in. I know you're smarter than me, but calling me an idiot? That's just cold." Albus shakes his head, "Anyway, you fancy my sister, why can't I fancy yours?"

"I'm not saying you can't, but you're a hypocrite, y'know? You don't want me dating your sister, but dating mine is okay?"

He shrugs in response, not wanting to get in yet another fight with him, I grab my favorite book and leave. Heading towards Lily's secret tunnels, I make sure no one sees me go in, and I go to the one under the lake. While the Slytherin common room has windows facing the lake, this place is much more beautiful. It is also much more peaceful. Summoning food, I sit down, eat, and read my book.

"Strange seeing you here," Lily's calm voice makes me jump after a while of reading, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."

"It's okay," I look up at her, putting my bookmark in my book, "did Phoenix tell you who it was?"

"No, she was very secretive about it."

"Oh. Well, I know who it is," I shake my head, "it's my git of a best friend."

"My brother isn't a - Actually, git is the perfect way to describe him - wait Phoenix is dating ALBUS?!"

"Yep," I grumble.

Lily starts laughing, "H-honestly, I, I e-expected this," she has trouble getting the words out through her laughter.

"Really?" I'm confused, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Since Albus met her, he's talked about her a lot," she shrugs.

"Oh, and your dad lets him date a Malfoy, but you can't?"

"He's a boy. I'm a girl-his only girl. He's protective. It can get annoying," she shrugs, "I've gotten used to it, I guess."

"I'm not sure whether that was either the most sexist thing I've ever heard or the most understandable." I start. "-I mean, so what you're a girl, but also, I get that he'd want to protect you."

She shrugged. "Christmas break starts tomorrow. Are you coming over for Albus this year? I know Phoenix is for both Albus and me."

"I'm not sure. I'll have to see if Albus will forgive me first. If not, I'm just going to go through Malfoy Manor and find some more rooms that'll need to be fixed once I inherit the place." My mind flashes to the many rooms of my grandfather's that my father had refused to touch. "It's best that we remember these horrible things. Prevent them from happening again," He used to say to me, but I didn't enjoy living in a place with constant reminders of Lord Voldemort.

"Do you have any extra owls, ones that Albus has never seen before? Preferably multiple ones."

"Yeah, why?"

"That way no one knows about, well, us," after a moment of thinking, she says, "Well, maybe Phoenix would know."

"Yeah," I smile, catching onto her idea.

"I think she might've figured out by now, though," she shrugs.

"That's possible."

"I better go," she responds, looking down at her watch, "She should be back soon, and it's almost curfew."

"Night," I stoop down a bit and kiss her.

"Goodnight, Malfoy," she winks and walks away, her footsteps echoing in the empty tunnel.

"See you around, Potter," I call after her.
