Their First Christmas

Morning

Hey guys! This is a story about Jamie and Dani's first christmas together.
I just wanted to write something happy and try to forget how the show ended so yeah :)

The alarm rang very loud, as always, and she reached for the clock without opening her eyes and managed to turn it off.
Suddenly, she felt a hand on her hip and remember where she was and who was laying beside her. Sometimes Dani would just forget that she had this new life, but it all came back very quickly. Slowly she opened her eyes and blinked a few times.

"Good morning, sleep well?" her girlfriend told her, stroking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"You know I always sleep well with you," the au pair answered and smiled.

When Dani looked around in the bedroom and saw the christmas decorations, she suddenly realized what day it was

"Jamie, why didn't you remind me?! It's christmas! Oh my god you can already feel the christmas spirit in the air!"

Jamie got filled with happiness when she saw the look on her girlfriends face. She knew that Dani loved this day, it was the only thing she had talked about for the last couple of weeks.

"I know Poppins, merry Christmas"
The gardener gave her girlfriend a quick kiss, and then another which was a bit longer.

" Merry christmas Jamie" Dani said. "Well, we better get up soon, we have a lot to do today!"

Jamie did not seem very happy about that, and Dani read her face.

"I know you don't like to make a big deal out of christmas, but this is our first together and I was thinking that I could show you how to celebrate it the Clayton way" she told Jamie and started to get out of bed.
"And that means we have to start preparing as soon as possible, baking and everything you know. And then we have to go down to The Leafling and be there for a few hours."

Even though Jamie was exited to see her girlfriend this happy, she really didn't feel like getting up right now.

" I mean yeah, we could do it the Clayton way..." she started. " But as you said, this is our first christmas together, don't you think we should make our own new traditions?"

Dani looked at her girlfriend who was still sitting on the bed.
"What do you mean?" she asked, a little upset that Jamie questioned her ways, but curious what she was thinking.

" Well, I know we have to open the shop later, but that isn't for another 3 hours so I think that our first new tradition will be that.."

Dani walked a little closer to the bed again.

" You have to come back to bed, and we stay here for as long as we can and..."

Jamie raised her eyebrows and smirked at her girlfriend.
She grabbed her arm and pulled her back in to their bed, so that their faces were only a couple of centimeters apart.
They stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds.

"Sounds like a great new tradition to me" Dani whispered.
