H- Hope
J- Josie
L- Lizzie

Hope is sat drawing alone on a bench in a park. She's was wearing simple clothes, a green shirt and blue jeans. She seems peaceful.

J- "Hope?"

Hope swings her head left to see Josie stood there, smiling awkwardly. She takes a minute to examine her before speaking. She's wearing a yellow shirt and plaid shirt with knee high socks, she can pull off any outfit. Hope smiles back, but hers is more genuine than Josie's.

H- "Hey Josie"

She looks back down to her book and her face falls. She closes it quickly.

J- "Keeping secrets now, are we?"

Josie asks jokingly.

H- "I was just drawing, it wasn't really good so..."

Hope's head tilts as she looks at Josie and smiles.

J- "I'm sure it was great"

Josie sits next to Hope on the bench but leaves a gap in between them. Hope notices.

H- "I don't have a disease, you can sit closer you know"

Josie looks at Hope, slightly shocked by the invitation because of their recent history, but shuffles closer anyway, closing the gap between the two. The two girls sit there silently for a few minutes. It wasn't awkward, it felt as if they were strangers.

H- "Okay, what's wrong?"
J- "What do you mean?"
H - "You're silent. Too silent."
J- "There's just... nothing to talk about."
H- "So let's make something to talk about."

Josie turns to look at her.

J- "Honest conversation?"
H- "Not like there's anything else we can speak about"

Josie pauses for a moment.

J- "Remember how I said I had a crush on you a while ago?"

Josie is playing with her fingers and looking down. She seems nervous.

J- "I heard you say something to Lizzie, before I brought everyone's memories back."

Hope turns to look at her, she sighs.

H- "Yeah, I figured."

They sit in silence again. This time it's awkward.

J- "Just a week, right?"
H- "Uh... yeah..."

They both look at each other, staring at their eyes.

L- "I would hate to interrupt this... moment- actually no, I'd love to"

Lizzie gestures to Josie to move over and she does which makes space for Lizzie to sit between the two. She's wearing a red shirt with navy blue pants and suspenders.

L- "You two look as red and the blood bags in the kitchen, what were you talking about?"
H- "Nothi-"
J- "School-"

Lizzie's head flicks between the two.

L- "Now I really wanna know."

Hope and Josie look at each other.

J- "I heard what Hope said to you when the monster was cornering you in the the gym..."
L- "What are you talking about? The gym- OH."

Lizzies head turns to Hope, who's trying not to look back at her.

L- "I've said it before and I'll say it again. You two are NEVER happening."
J- "Yeah... of course. It was ages ago anyway."

Hope's expression softens and she looks hurt by what Josie said.

H- "Um... I should go. I'll see you two later"

Hope gets up and plasters an obviously fake smile on her face. Josie see's right through her but chooses not to say anything. Hope walks away quickly and forgets her sketchbook on the bench.

L- "God, she might as well have flown away with how fast she left then."
J- "She left her sketchbook too."
L- "Oh! Let's take a sneak at what she's been drawing shall we?"

Lizzie begins to open the book but Josie snaps it shut before either of them can get a good look.

J- 'No. It's hers, we shouldn't look."

Josie takes the book from Lizzie gets up.

J- "I'm going back to the school, if you're heading to the café get me a-"
L- "Hot chocolate, I know."

Josie smiles and begins to walk towards the school. Lizzie mumbles to herself.

L- "I swear she'd dehydrate if I wasn't here- oh, and now I'm talking to myself. Fantastic."
