Meet and Purr

It's around time that classes end in Hogwarts...

One of our last lessons for Ravenclaw and Slytherin, potions, is in motion.....

Red is sitting in class, not really paying attention to what the teacher is saying. He's going through his bag trying to find something fun so he can distract himself. All of a sudden, a boy from the other house, Ravenclaw to be exact, appears in front of him
"Hi! My name is Antfrost! We've been paired up for this task, nice to meet you!"
Velvet looks up from his bag, probably holding something like a box of teeth. He's pretty confused because he wasn't listening to the damn class.
"Oh hey, I'm Redvelvet, Nice to meet you"
Antfrost sits down next to Velvet, putting a cauldron in front of them, preparing the stuff they'll need and just putting a bunch of stuff for potions on the desk. He notices that Red is starring at him with a very confused look
"You have no idea what we're doing do you?"
"Nope"
Antfrost sighs.
We have to make a protection potion, I know how to do it do just, I don't know look at what I'm doing and remember it for next time maybe?? So you don't like?? Get in trouble??"
Red looks pretty unamused
"Yea sure"

Ant starts pouring stuff into the cauldron, Red has no idea what all of that stuff is but if he had to describe it, he would describe it as "wild magical shit that i could probably get high on".

Ant cuts some rat tails until he realised
"Oh wait! I forgot the mint! It's very important you know? Don't forget it like I did okay?I'll be right back!!"

Antfrost gets up and dashes to the closet with plants. He soon finds what he was looking for and slowly comes back until he understands what he's seeing. The red haired boy is pouring a foamy purple substance into the potion. Ant speeds up

"Hey, can I ask you what you're doing?"
"I don't know I saw it on that desk right there"
"We're supposed to do a protection potion! You could get us killed!!!"
"e p i c"
"No red that isn't epic this might explo- wait that pink liquid with black hair looks familiar... Wait- VELVET DON'T PUT THAT IN THAT'S-"

It was too late, the green eyed boy was already pouring the liquid into the potion

The cauldron started foaming and smoking violently, it exploded. Soon, the boys were covered in pink-ish clouds

*Cough cough*
"Okay that was amazing! What even was that lol? hey ant you alright? Hey ant?? Antfrost??"
He looked to the side, he saw the brown haired boy covering the top of his head. He was in some pain, not much, but it was okay
"Oh my f#cking god dude are you ok holy sh#t are you hurt? Please don't be hurt I don't wanna hurt anybody are you in any pain? Holy sh!t I f#cked that up"

Ant slowly puts his arms away, but as soon as he does so, a pair of cat ears popps up from his soft curly hair

"Are those-"
"What? Is there there something wrong with my-"

Antfrost touches his head to know why the red haired boy was so shocked. He touched the location of the confusion, but instead of his usual, fluffy hair, he was left with a pair of big, and very real, cat ears

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHAT THE FU-"

The sun is now falling, Ant is walking towards the common room. He was released from the nurses office after they told him that the ears were permanent. He also discovered that he had a tail too. He was a little pissed because he was planning on playing quidditch today. As he was walking through the corridors, something grabbed his arm and pulled him into a small room that was hidden in a pillar.

"WHOA WHAT THE-"
"don't worry it's just me!!"
When he opens his eyes he's met with the lovely green eyes of Velvet. He looks.... Sad?

"Hey um, I'm sorry for screwing up the potion. I should've listened to you when you told me to stop because it was dangerous. I didn't want to stop because I thought nothing was gonna happen, i didn't think that stupid potion was gonna explode i-"

Ant put both of his hands on Reds shoulders

"Hey, it's fine. No need to apologize. It was actually pretty fun you know? I didn't do any mischief for some time actually.."

"Sooooooo

...

...

You're not mad at me??"

"Nope" Ant said with a smile

Reds face lightened up like the sun.
"Great! I was actually thinking if you know,, you didn't want to steal some brooms and fly around for a while?"
"But it's almost night time!"
"That's the fun part silly" red laughs as he pokes Ant's shoulder.

"What do you think hmm?"

"You know what? I wanted to fly on a broom today anyways! Where are those stupid brooms?!"

Red is a little surprised by the change of energy but honestly? He loved that.

"This way come on!"

"WHOAAA SLOW DOWN RED YOU'RE GONNA GET US KILLED!!!"

"I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THREE YEARS NOW DO YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW WHAT IM DOING?"

"YES, YES I DO? YOU LITERALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT A MINT IS"

"DOESN'T MATTER!"
Red said as he violently turns left towards the lake.

He slowly leads them down to the bottom. They could touch the lake at this point. Red slowed down. The sky was especially beautiful today, the stars we're shining bright and the moon was smiling at them.

"That's the bear, that's the mother's bear I think, oh that's definitely Orion! It shows that it's gonna start being cold"
Red is just starring at him not paying too much attention, Ant knows that but continues to talk anyways.

"Hey look! Falling stars!! Well, I was told that they're actually meteorites. I heard that if you make a wish while watching a falling star will make it come true! So go ahead and wish for something!!"

Ant looks at Velvet, clearly hoping for him to tell him his wish.

"Hmm let me see..... Hmmmmm"

Red pretends to think about it, he actually knows what he'll wish for though.

"Now then don't play dumb I know that you already know, tell me tell me tell me!!"

"No ❤️" red smiled at him

"Oh come on tell meeeee!"

"Im not telling youu~"

"Ugh fine, I'm not telling you mine either though!!!!!!"

They both lock eyes with eachother in a joke-mad way. They then proceed to start laughing loudly.

They had no idea that they wished for the same thing that night~~
