the squad stayed at the park 'till dawn, chugging down the bottles of beer yena bought from a store nearby while watching the sunset, shades of yellow and orange blending with pinks as if the sky had been painted on a canvas. yena and yuri were arguing over the last packet of potato chips whilst ryujin and chaeryeong were watching from beside them, stealing glances at each other and softly giggling, their cheeks tainted red.

"i still can't believe you're here with me right now. it feels too good to be true." chaeryeong said, laying back on the grass, her arms resting behind her head. ryujin layed beside her, gazing at the clouds forming varieties of shapes in the breathtaking sky.

"same. i guess it was destiny, huh?" ryujin replied, facing the brunette. chaeryeong turned to meet ryujin's eyes, her cheeks immediately flushed red. the flustered girl tried to spin in the other direction but ryujin grabbed her arms and held her in place. chaeryeong internally panicked, feeling ryujin's breath gently brushing her tomato red cheeks. ryujin's hands slowly caressed their way up chaeryeong's arms, up her neck and to her cheeks which she held ever so carefully.

chaeryeong's brain could not process anything at this moment. this must have been what chaeyeon meant when sakura made her malfunction. the brunette's eyes studied the pink haired girl's features, staring at her lips for a good minute. their bodies inched closer together, chaeryeong's arms sneaking around ryujin's arms, tugging her hips closer to chaeryeong's body. ryujin smirked, leaning in until...

"AYYY GET THAT BREAD RYUJIN!" the two immediately jumped away from each other, twisting their necks to find the source of the interruption. behind them stood yuri and yena with yuri shaking her head and slapping yena's shoulder.

"ow, ow, OW! i'm sorry, i'm sorry!" yena dashed into the distance, yuri following behind her, screaming frantically.

"YOU RUINED IT YOU DUMBASS DUCK!" ryujin and chaeryeong exchanged confused glances, their hearts racing from the event that happened.

"so..." ryujin trailed off, rubbing her neck. chaeryeong played with her fingers, her face still extremely red.

"y-yeah...that happened hehe." chaeryeong awkwardly laughed. ryujin softly smiled in response, scanning the stunning brunette's facial features. ryujin's hand slowly crawled towards chaeryeong's, intertwining with hers.

chaeryeong looked up to the older girl with a confused expression, leaving ryujin in a sappy mess. GOD THIS GIRL IS SO ADORABLE THOSE EYES-

"a-are you okay with me holding your hand?" ryujin asked, wondering whether to retract her arm. however, chaeryeong gripped her sweaty hands tighter.

"sure. i like it." the two exchanged shy smiles, focusing on nothing but each other. today is definitely the best day i've ever had. they simultaneously thought.
