The turtle brothers were on patrol, as usual. It was the dead of night and New York was bright with city lights that lit up the rooftops, proving a light source for the masked ninjas.

Mikey was humming to himself as he walked alongside his brothers. They arrived at an abandoned building and started looking around. Donnie was searching for some old parts and thus was the place to get them.

"Okay, I'm looking for a hypergenic module that will assist me in calculating the biome of a nuclear-" Donnie got cut off mid-sentence by Mikey. "You lost us at looking." Donnie sighed in annoyance.

"Just tell us what it looks like." Raph said impatiently, crossing his arms. "It's oval-shaped, green and emits a blue glow when you get close to it, so it should be easy to find." The genius replied.

"Well, let's split up." He turned to Raph. "You check the back, Donnie, you check over on the left...Mikey, go look around in the front. I'll check around over here." Leo ordered.

The turtles nodded and split up. Mikey started looking through a bunch of old boxes, singing to himself as he did so. "Just keep looking, just keep looking, just keep looking, looking, looking."

Suddenly, a bat flew out of one of the boxes, startling Mikey. "Woah!" He yelped, jumping back. This bat didn't look like an ordinary bat. It's fangs were huge and it had a red mark on its underside.

Before Mikey could say anything else, the bat made a hissing noise and bit Mikey. The youngest cried out in pain, gaining the attention of his brothers.

"Mikey!" Raph ran up to his brother. The best flew away. "Are ya okay?!" Mikey rubbed at his neck where the bat bit him. "Ow, dudes something big me!"

Donnie took a look at Mikey's neck. "What bit you?" He asked in mild concern. "A weird bat." Mikey replied, feeling a little woozy as the world around him started spinning.

Leo grabbed his younger brother before he could fall. "We'd better get you home, who knows what kind of disease that thing carried?" Raph blinked.

Mikey nodded wearily, holding his head. "Yeah, I'm not feeling so hot..." He was sweating and struggling to walk. Leo was immediately concerned. "Don't bats carry rabies?" Donnie hesitated. "well, it's a possibility."

Then took Mikey home as quick as possible and hooked him up to an IV. Donnie knew he had to give Mikey a rabies vaccine, just in case. Mikey's sunken eyes widened when he saw the shot.

"Uh-uh! No way dude, no needles!" Mikey said stubbornly, pressing himself further into the bed. Donnie sighed. "You need it. If you really are getting rabies, this will save your life."

Mikey sighed, giving in. "Fine!" He pouted, letting Donnie stick him with the needle, yelling in pain as he did so. Mikey tended to be a little overdramatic. Leo sat by Mikey, rubbing his head comfortingly.

"You're okay, Mikey." He said reassuringly as Mikey groaned. "Hey D, can you dim the lights a bit? They're hurting my eyes." Mildred mumbled, covering his eyes with his hand.

Donnie was a little confused since the lights weren't even on that bright, but he dimmed them anyway. "Just get some rest little brother, you should be just fine." He smiled a little gap-toothed smile.

Mikey nodded, feeling exhausted. He slowly closed his eyes, allowing darkness to overtake him. But right before Mikey drifted into a deep slumber, he heard his second oldest brother say something.
