𝐁𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 the Hogwarts Express arrived in Hogsmeade Station, Lyra had discovered three things. One, the second year Gryffindors were jumping to conclusions and believed Theodore Nott was the Heir of Slytherin only to find out they were wrong; two, George was the worst at responding to letters; and three, she missed George a whole lot more than she should have.

Gazing out one of the windows from the carriage, her eye laid upon the beautiful castle of Hogwarts.

"Home sweet home," she sighed. There was a chorus of hums in agreement as her friends also took in the sight. It never ceased to take your breath away.

Lee held out his hand to help her out of the cart when they landed. "Take my hand, M'lady,"

"I would rather kiss a hippogriff's arse than take your hand, Lee," Lyra responded and climbed out herself, sending a teasing smile his way as she marched up to the castle.

Lee placed his hand on his chest as he ran after her. "Ouch! I am very offended, Black."

"I'm sure you are," she looked around, searching for a specific Ravenclaw, "Ah! There she is, with Cedric, too! Perfect, Lee, I've got to go for a sec. I'll be back in a few, keep an eye on Angelina for me, I saw her glaring at some older Slytherins before!"

She quickly turned and started heading towards Luna and Cedric who seemed to be in a friendly argument of sorts.

"Thestrals don't exist! No one can see- Oh! Lyra, hello," Cedric said when he noticed her fall into step with them.

"Hi, I hope you don't mind me interrupting, but what are Thestrals?" Lyra asked as she looked between the two.

Luna jumped in immediately. "They're the horses that pull the carriages. Some people can't see them because you've got to have watched and acknowledged someone's death in front of you."

Cedric was about to cut in with his own opinion, but Lyra spoke first. "Sounds magical, Luna. How was your break, guys?"

"It was good, I ate a lot of that pavlova stuff Katrina told us all to make. It's so good!" Cedric said, a small smile on his face as he thought about the dessert. "We'll have to ask the house elves to add it into dessert."

"That's great, Ced," Lyra stretched on her tiptoes and ruffled his hair. "Mary made some of it for Christmas dinner and it was amazing! How about you, Luna, how was your break?"

Luna's dreamy gaze turned from the two teens to the castle in front of her. "Alright, Dad was a bit emotional because Mum's presence was there for Christmas Lunch."
