Oh, I am a fan of their development throughout the season. It's so nice to see Delta slowly open up to Drum. Though, I'm pretty sure even Red Eye would have melted faced with this:

They also have that main character x rival/enemy/friend ship dynamic.
They weren't really best friends from the start (well, Drum tried) but their friendship developed over the season and it was SO satisfying to watch.

I also love how supportive they eventually become of each other. I've seen people claim that this ship is unhealthy and stuff but it's actually quite wholesome because you get to see how Drum and Delta develop, first as individuals and then as friends.
The development is slow and it's rather realistic, because I feel like that's how friendships would work irl. Because no two people just naturally gravitate towards each other.
Also, again, respect. Delta gradually comes to respect Drum and sees his worth as a blader and that's what counts! He's changed! There's no point in dwelling over the past (how he resented Drum and all) He's a sweetheart now!
As for top and bottom... I don't know who's the top tbh. They're both very switch, I mean, people would argue that Delta's the top but... Nah, he is quite adjusting and willing to change.
And Drum is openly affectionate (Look at the various accounts of PDA initiated by him- jkjk XD) He doesn't hesitate to glomp Lui so I'd say he's pretty willing to take the initiative whereas Delta is quite reclusive-....
