The Beyblade Burst cast reacting to ships

~Valt x Lui~

This ship honestly used to be my OTP when Turbo didn't exist and it only got demoted to second position because,, y'know, Aiga entered the picture with a legendary ✨c r a s h✨

Anyway, this ship has a LOT of subtext in canon. I mean, their first meeting is already so interesting!

I expected Lui to be that one arrogant, prideful douche who demeans others (and he was like that in season 1 ngl) but I also didn't expect him to be so well fleshed out too?!

He's trains his ass off and he trains more than Shu- it's not just false pride and big talk, he's got the skill to back it up and he got that skill through hard work which is why he was a PERFECT antithesis to Valt.

Valt is definitely not the most hard working guy in season 1 and definitely not on Lui's level. He's all about having fun.

Meanwhile Lui is all stiff faced and serious and just wants to stay at the top (I didn't say wants to be the best because dude already IS the best in Japan at that point in time)

Aside from Shu, there is no one who could challenge Lui's position- which is why it would be completely understandable if he thought Valt was just a weak newbie rookie who got lucky-

But that is not the case.

He says Valt is a terrible blader but he says so because he notices Valkyrie's potential and the fact that Valt isn't utilising it. So he calls him out on it as he sees fit.

What is hilarious is that when Valt finds him in that training room, he's all 🥰😄 "You said that because you wanted me to improve, right? :DDDDDD"

Which is... Not completely true. Lui's interested in his bey's potential, not Valt himself and the way Valt is touched that Lui was looking out for him is so off track and ffs the sweet little child does not even understand-

But yes, I'd say that that was the start of Lui's interest in Valt. After that, their final battle is just so full of subtext after subtext- *chef's kiss*

First off, Lui's looking forward to spending time with- I MEAN, battling Valt- and that in itself should be a big freakin deal because y'know. He's Lui. Need I say more?

Secondly, when Valt's hands hurt or frozen or something (I forgot because it's been three years :D) he gets a time out and I think we all know what happens in the tunnel~ 😏

Anyway for those of you who don't remember-

Lui just sneaks up on him like a creep and jumps at him being all RAAAARRRRGHHHHHHH like a bear and they're locked in a kiss and then they get married and live happily ever after-

I MEAN SORRY TO DISAPPOINT BUT THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN.

Lui is just arm wrestling with Valt with both hands and Valt is actually resisting Lui's strength and then they jump apart and after that, y'know. Valt's hands are completely healed.
