104 Days: Draco Malfoy x Reader

Day 2

I woke up around 7 in the morning and I couldn't fall asleep to save my life. I decided not to change just yet. I went downstairs and I picked up the living room quietly. I picked up all of our energy drink cans and threw them in the trash. I decided to go buy a few more so I wrote a note for Draco in case I didn't get back before he woke up. 

It said. 'Hey Draco I woke up around 7 and couldn't fall back asleep, I wrote this because I wanted to let you know I'm going into Diagon Alley again to grab more energy drinks. I'll pick you up some just in case. I wrote this just in case you were awake before I got back. See you later, cant wait to watch the Marvel movies! -Y/n'

Draco's POV 

I woke up around 10:45. I laid in bed trying to go back to sleep for about 10 minutes when I gave up. I stood up and went to go check on y/n. I didn't see her in her bed and her door was wide open. 'Hm she must already be awake and downstairs.' I thought to myself. I walked into the kitchen and dining room. No sign of her. 

I checked the living room and found a note that read 'Hey Draco I woke up around 7 and couldn't fall back asleep, I wrote this because I wanted to let you know I'm going into Diagon Alley again to grab more energy drinks. I'll pick you up some just in case. I wrote this just in case you were awake before I got back. See you later, cant wait to watch the Marvel movies! -Y/n'

What a cute goofball. Wait! Cute? Did I just think that? Whatever. I wasn't very hungry so I decided to sit on the couch and watch cartoons. Then it hit me. Did she go out in what she was wearing last night?! 

Y/n's POV

Damn, I really should have changed. It's fine who cares right now. I walked into the store and grabbed 6 energy drinks. As I was walking to the front desk a hand groped my butt. I jumped startled and turned around to face Blaise Zabini. 

"What're you doing Blaise?" I asked. "Oh, so she does speak huh? Besides it wasn't my fault you were in my way." He said. "Oh, of course, right. Sorry about that." I said. I turned back around but Blaise grabbed my arm turning me back around to face him. 

"Where ya going?" He asked. "To pay for my drink obviously," I said. "Why not come with me?" He said. "Because I have no interest in you," I said. 'Oh my gosh. Did I just say that out loud? Me y/n y/l/n who can't stand up for herself?' I thought to myself. 

That made me smile which angered the hell out of Blaise. "Why'd you come here dressed like that? Surely you knew it'd grab someone's attention right?" He said. "What the fuck Blaise. I just didn't feel like getting all cute to leave the house for 10 minutes." I said. 

"Your feisty too? Woah this is all new to me." He said. "Yeah me too," I mumbled to myself. I yanked my arm away and walked up to the front desk. I paid for my drinks and walked out of the store but Blaise kept following me. I started to run into the big crowds hoping to lose him He still had a sharp eye on me so I just decided to turn a quick corner and apparate. 

I apparated back into the manor and I was breathing heavily. I sat on my knees catching my breath for a minute. 

You did dress like a slut. You deserved that. It's your own fault. Shouldn't have gone out like that. The thoughts were beginning to swarm in my mind. 

I scooted back against the door and tucked my knees into my chest. "Ahh y/n! Are you back?" Draco asked. He came around the corner and saw me. He ran and sat next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and cradled me. 

The thoughts suddenly stopped and you felt warm, safe, and calm. "Do I need to get your pills?" He asked. I shook my head no. He helped me up but I felt weak, I almost fell and he picked me up. He sat me on the couch and grabbed the bag with the drinks. He sat on the opposite side of the couch. 

"So tell me what happened." He said tossing me a drink. I explained everything that happened to him with Blaise. I saw him growing angry and I told him everything I said back. Some of my backtalk that I said to Blaise made him smirk and chuckle a bit. 

I took a sip of my energy drink and I looked away from Draco. "I'm not mad at Blaise he was kinda right," I said. Draco's head snapped my way and he had a look of disgusted confusion on his face. "It's my own fault. I should've changed before I left," I said. 

I looked out of the window and felt my eyes tearing up. I felt movement from the couch but ignored it. I ignored it until I felt a cold hand grab my chin he turned my head and tilted it upwards to look at his face. 

I looked up into his gorgeous blue eyes and my heart melted. Wait. Did I- am I attracted to Draco Malfoy?! I thought to myself. 

He brought himself down inches away from my face. "It's never your fault y/n." He said his lips so close. I wanted to kiss them at this point but I chickened out. "Blaise is a pig and an idiot so don't be influenced by his words." He said. 

He let go of my chin and I felt myself blushing. "Oh- Um thank you Draco. That made me feel a lot better." I said. "Don't worry about it. Hey, do you mind if I ask you some questions?" He asked. "Technically you just did. Just kidding. Shoot." I said. 

"So um. You don't have to answer this if you don't want to but what happened yesterday? And what's with the Prozac? Do your parents know about that?" He asked. 

"Oh, wowzas. Um, I wasn't very prepared for this. I wanted to tell you but I didn't want to become a burden on you after you already let me stay in your home for the summer." I said. 

"Well, I guess it all started in first year when I got sorted into Slytherin. I didn't like how Slytherin's minds worked. But I was always different. The rest of the Slytherins were so self-centered and annoying so I avoided all of them." I said. "Ouch." He said

"No not you, I just mean a lot of them were just so mean and I couldn't stand them. But then when I started to avoid them more the thoughts came." I said. "The thoughts?" Draco asked. 

"Yea my mind swarming around with self insults telling me I was failing my house and Hogwarts itself. From then on my thoughts got worse and more frequent. Until 4th year when I discovered what Prozac was and what it did." I said.

"What does it do?" He asked. "It just slows down my thinking and makes the thoughts go away. Like a drug I guess." You said. "Ahh, so that's what happened yesterday? The negative thoughts?" He asked. "Exactly they wait for the right moment then strike like a Cobra!" I said.

"Oh, okay well I was just wondering because I got really worried about you yesterday. If your thoughts start swarming and you can't find your pills gimme a call and I can be there to help you with it." He said. 

"Thank you so much, Draco. You- I mean it means the world to me." I said. He chuckled. "No problem." He replied. 

With that, we spent the entire day snacking and watching Marvel movies. We ended it at around 2 am. "Our sleep schedules are gonna be so fucked" I said. We laughed hard and then laid on the couch talking for a bit until we both fell asleep at practically the same time. 

I woke up to silent winces and whimpers. I looked at Draco who was sweating and jolting and shaking in his sleep. Oh shit. He's having a nightmare. I thought to myself. I crawled over to his side of the couch and sat on my knees. I started to lightly shake him.

"Draco." I whispered, "Draco!" I said louder. His body jolted awake and he quickly sat up. "Shh shh it's okay Draco your at home I'm right here," I said. His heavy and fast breathing slowed down ad he pulled you into a tight hug. 

"Oh, uh, not really a hugger." I giggled and he fell backward falling asleep with me in his arms. "Draco. I'm still under here!" I whisper shouted but he was knocked out cold. You decided to give up and you buried your head in his chest feeling safer. You finally fell asleep to the smell of his cologne and the warmth of his presence.
