I woke up as early as I could, getting super excited. Then I realized I had school. I guess I could skip classes today. I told my mom about it and she was very understanding. Unless you consider someone accepting your deal of washing the dishes in exchange for an absence of school.

I wish I could tell my mom about this, but somehow, I like keeping this as a secret. I've never had any interesting secrets of my own, so I decided to clam this up.

I know my mom wouldn't allow me to leave this house so I opened the window of my bedroom, and just waited for the signal of Jack Frost. Any mother would freak out if they see their 8-year old child climbing out of the window, so I locked the door and did other precautions just to be safe. Little snow was falling slowly on the ground. It seemed pleasant to look at. It seemed like Christmas was making a "slow entrance", hoping that each and everyone would get to see the first drops of snow. I was only wearing my pyjamas when I was lounging on the roof. It was chilly, but I got used to it.

I was on a lookout, searching for him everywhere. I waited for an hour for him to come. My hands were starting to get itchy(My hands get itchy when they get cold). So I went back to my room and searched for gloves.

The pair of gloves that I found were gloves that I had when I was six. It had rainbow stripes, and it was very itchy! But, its fabric is thick so I this is perfect despite the design and how it'll make me itchy most of the time.

So I waited again. I spent most of my day on the roof and I'm actually glad that my mom didn't worry. She probably thought I was just sleeping but hah hah she thought wrong. I was about to go back to my room to make sure that my mom doesn't see me outside but I was alarmed by the sound of something tinkling. It sounded like bells being shook joyfully in an uneven rhythm, as if the person shaking it has no talent at all.

By surprise, someone had knocked me over which caused me to hang tightly on the gutters of our house. The gutters were rusty and old, I was too afraid to make a move. I could hear someone saying "Where are you? I just saw you seconds ago! You sure are fast, kid."

With that familiar voice, I immediately assumed it was Jack. So I responded.

"I'm down here! Help!" I made the most loudest soft voice ever, hoping my parents wouldn't hear me. I'm pretty sure they got shocked when they heard something unusual happening on the roof, I wouldn't want to cause more trouble. Few milliseconds later, Jack came flying swiftly towards me, grabbed my shoulders and softly put me down.

"I'm sorry, when I accidentally bumped into you, you must've fell down." He scratched his head and made a look to make me forgive him. His face looked hilarious and it didn't work, but I forgave him anyway.

"By the way, I brought something all the way from the North Pole!" He abruptly flashed an elf in front of my face I almost squealed! It was the creepiest thing I've ever seen! A 7 inch creature that looks like a 40-year old man! Jack seems to have fun with it, but I don't.

"Isn't he awesome?" He chuckled.

I just nodded along to humor him.

Awkward silences has passed--And in those awkward moments I just stared at him play gleefully with the creepy elf, and his face shifts so sudden from happy, to ecstatic, as if a lightbulb hatched from his head.

"Say, do you want to help me create snow?" He said with glee.

Jack Frost, inviting me to spread snow all over town? I had to say yes. I nodded blissfully and he carried me and we flew above the buildings. The view was amazing, although I was shivering the whole time he was carrying me.

We then stopped at the highest building in this area. It was over 40 stories tall, definitely freezing, but it was worth it. He made me hold his staff and then placed his hands over mine. The staff wouldn't actually work if only I was holding it.

"The trick is, always think of snow. Snow, snow, snow! Don't think of anything else or it won't work. Hear me?" He said.

I closed my eyes and focused.

Snow. Snow. Snow. That's all I ever thought of. When I opened my eyes, everything was blanketed in snow. I chuckled due to amazement. This is so awesome, I made snow fall from the sky! It was only two weeks until Christmas and as far as it sounds, it's already beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Jack dropped me off at my house, but the adventure wasn't over yet. I taught him how to write better, since his handwriting was similar to my baby cousin's. It took as an hour for him to not get confused with the letters "b" and "d". It was so hilarious to see him rage whenever he mixes up those two letters.

I brought in a Playstation I'd found in the attic and we played whatever games were available. I always beat him in Tekken Versus Mode, but when it comes to the Story Mode, he would always have a higher score than mine.

I stole my mom's Polaroid and we would take pictures of us together. He would keep one of the pictures and said that if ever we part ways and may never see each other again, he would look at this photo and instantly remember all of the memories we shared together, even if it weren't that plenty.

It was already 7 in the evening, and the adventure was, unfortunately, over.

"I promise I'm going to write letters to you as soon as I can, so I can practice on my handwriting too." He chuckled and ruffled his hair.

I got sad. I wanted to cry. I wouldn't want this adventure to be over. I whimpered as he was about to leave.

"Hey, hey, hey. Don't be sad. I'll come back. You know I will. Besides, if ever I'm busy and I can't visit ya, I'll write a letter to you so you won't get worried. Deal?" He lifted his pinky.

I lifted mine as well.

We both made a promise, a promise that was never meant to be broken.

"I won't forget you..." He shouted as he flies away, the words echoing softly.

The next day, I received a letter. His handwriting improved quickly, until I saw that it was North(Santa Claus) who wrote it for him. How I wish I could write him back, but I simply don't know where to send it. But I just wrote one, just in case.

The days went by so quickly, and so did the letters as well. Each letter was an irreplaceable gift to me. I folded it neatly and kept it safe in a secret storage. Everyday when I get home from school, I would read each letter by date, and just picture everything that Jack was saying in the letter. In one letter, he said that he made a dare with the Easter Bunny to have an arm-wrestling match with one of North's Yetis, and if he wins, Jack gets vanished for a whole day during Easter. Too bad he lost.

New Year's came, and I didn't receive any letter from him. I shrugged it off, thinking that maybe he got tired. Everyone gets tired, you know?

Weeks passed by, and still no contact from Jack. I got scared, what if he forgot me? What about the picture of us that he kept?

Then, my birthday came. I was waiting for him to show up because he promised on one of the letters he wrote that he surely would on my birthday. But he didn't. I was devastated. I cried on my 9th birthday, and my mom got everything on tape. Dear God, it was by far the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me.

Months then passed by and I just didn't really care anymore if he would write again. I still believed in him though. Years passed by now and he never wrote back since.

It has been 9 years since he last wrote to me.
