As night fell, the museum closed, and the Lions, staying true to their word, met the man with the scar outside the exit of the tunnels. The man stood, back turned, near the gate. He was muttering something about a lock. "Psst." Smart whispered, and the man turned quickly, trench coat whirling behind him. He reached for something  metal, sharp, and dangerous on his belt. "Woah, woah woah!" Grey exclaimed backing up, hands raised. "Oh. It's you three. I thought it might have been the police."  The brothers looked at each other. None of them knew how to respond to this. Well! It's too late to leave now.

Smart thought as he stepped forward. "So what are we to do?"

The man handed Smart a slip of tattered paper.

"The museum is older than you may realize. The tunnels are connected to the supply room through a small locked hatch. This hatch can be opened if the puzzle on top of it is solved, which is where this paper comes in. It's the key, so to speak. Once you're through the hatch, you'll be inside the supply room, which will be locked , of course."  "Which is why we needed the job. For the key, I mean." Smart said, realization dawning on his face."Yes." The man said, nodding and smiling, pronouncing his scar further. "Erm, quick question." Grey butted in. "But why are we doing this? I mean, I can tell that you have no intention of going in, don't deny it." "I have... other things to tend to." The man said conspicuously. "Now, hurry on, we haven't got that much time." Walking towards the gate, it became evident that the lock had very, very recently been crudely smashed open. So much for any slight hope that this would be within legal boundaries. Smart thought.

"Well, deep breaths everyone." Smart said and opened the gate.
