"Pssst," whispered the shady character. "Come over here..." Word of advice: Do not approach strange, shady men. The Lions were adept at this sort of thing, BUT YOU ARE NOT. Thank you. Since the Lions had a way with strangers, they 'came over here'. "You know that latest exhibit in the Museum Fantastique?" asked the man. Grey knew. "Oh, you mean the Scream?" The man's eyes bugged out. "KEEP IT DOWN!" the man whispered as loudly as he dared. "The wall have ears in a city like this." Speedy's eyebrow raised. He always took things too literally. "But we're outside." he said innocently. "Shaddup!" the man hissed. "What about the Scream?"Smart asked quietly. " Someone's gonna swipe it! I can trust you, right? Get the job at the museum.." "Who are you?" Smart asked suspiciously. "How can we trust you?" "You can't really. But can you trust anyone?" Smart thought about this. You couldn't, really. Just last week Purple, their only employee, had taken all the candy that was meant for customers. "No," Smart admitted. "I suppose one can't." "As I was saying before somebody very rudely interrupted me," the man continued. "The Scream. It's going to be stolen. Get the job as a janitor at the museum! This is very important. Come back here after sundown, I'll help you into the museum, and we'll catch the thief in the act!" Grey wasn't too sure about all this. "I'm not too sure about all this," said Grey. "Isn't that breaking and entering?" "Who said we were going to break into anything?" The man grinned, stretching the ghastly scar that ran down the left side of his face. " It's still illegal to go into the museum after closing time." Grey folded his arms stubbornly. "Whocaresifit'sillegalitsuresoundslikealotoffunyessiruhhuhuhhuhyupyupyup" The man frowned. "He alright?" Smart looked at Speedy. "Speedy, I'm cutting you off from jellied toast." Little did Smart know, Speedy's hyperactivity would come in handy very soon. "Awwyourenofunyoubigmeanie" "err... Anyway, it's not illegal if you're doing it to prevent a theft." Now, this wasn't strictly true, and they all knew it. But Smart decided to let it slide this time around. This sounded exciting.
