I knock on his door.
My shift has ended so I am in quite the hurry to get home.Jolan opens it and I hand him a cup of water and his two pills.
"I'm putting you on this for now. It will help with the extra jitters you need to work out. This is temporary I swear."He takes the two pills before drinking the water and handing them both back to me.
"Great now get some sleep Jolan." He closes the door and I rush home just to jump in Kenneth's arms.
"Hey baby. I made dinner."
Third Person
Nurse Jenin hums as she cleans up the rec room. Her first week on the job has been easy so far. Her parents feared she would get hurt on the job
But with how stubborn she was she wouldn't let their protest stop her.Jenin curses when she drops the box making the puzzle pieces scatter on the floor. Quickly she picks them up and gets them back in the box.
As she sets them down she feels on edge, like she's not the only one in the room but when she turns around no one is there.
Silently Jansen watched her every move, his mind ticked with endless ideas. The words in his head were loud and overbearing.
He slipped from around the corner and calls for her.
Jenin gasps running to take his hand.
"You got out again. Bellum will put you in the panic room if you keep doing this."She notices how his wet hair sticks to his forehead, Jenin presses the back of her hand to his head.
"You're burning up. Are you okay Jolan? Do you need some water?"His brows furrowed, he hated how much they called him Jolan. He didn't feel connected to the name. It just didn't belong to him
He shows her the blood running down the cut on his palm.
"Oh my goodness. You did this to yourself?"..
Lani
When I go into the panic room Jolan is in the corner. His hand is wrapped up and he looks pale.
I kneel in front of him. "Do you want some?" I show him the cold bottle of water in my hand and slowly he nods.
I pop open the cap pouring a little into his mouth and waiting before I pour some more.
"Can you tell me what happened? Maybe who cut you?" He closes his eyes for a moment, when he opens them they are dilated.
"I knew they'd call you." He stands up and then I do too.
"You did it because you needed to see me.""Those pills they keep giving me makes me feel so empty. They make me so tired that I don't want to talk. I hate it so much Doc. Can you make them stop?"
"Um." I glance at Bellum who stands outside the door.
"I'll see what I can do. Until then you have to stay in your room. You understand?""Perfectly."
"Okay. Come with me."
