"What does it feel like when you are about to switch compared to after?"
He lays back on the leather sofa finding my eyes."Well," he smiles. "Jensen is a character. He never lets me think while it's happening. I start feeling like i'm not myself. He just completely shuts me out eventually, and it feels like something else is taking over."
"What are somethings you can tell me that will let me know you've switched? Like what different things can I look for in you two?" I pay close attention to him so I can write everything down.
"It can be undetectable sometimes. Jensen plays me well but he has a side to him. He has a bad temper and an addictive personality. So anger I guess. Deviance." He bites his lip, eyes sliding down my body.
"Am I talking to him right now?" His eyes flicker back to mine and he hums.
"I'm afraid so doc."
"Have I ever talked to Jolan." He sits up smirking."Jolan doesn't talk. Most of the time he's quite."
"Will I ever get a word out of him?" He shrugs.
"Ask him.""I would if you'd let me."
"Too bad I don't want too." I nod seeing how he is.
"You said you had a temper. Did you stab your dad?""Yes. If I could i'd do it again."
"So you don't feel guilty?"
"Mm mm.""Bellum was actually telling me that maybe suppressing your anger is like suppressing you. That could be why you feel so empty on your meds."
"Likely." I glance down at my notes.
"You also mentioned having an addictive personality. How does that affect you?" When I look up he is staring at the ceiling, his blinking starts occurring more and his posture straightens."Jolan?" He looks at me taken aback by me calling his name. But slowly he nods.
"Do you have trouble fighting with him?"
"He won't let me live Lani. Do you know what that feels like? To have someone constantly pushing your head under. Making you do what they want. Never letting you speak."
"I mean I can see-" I stop seeing a sadistic smile tug at his lips.
"What's the most you've ever lost in a coin toss?" He asks...
"I know. Mom i've just been busy with work and stuff. But I promise I will come see you during the holidays."
"Okay. Just keep me updated on when.""Okay mom. I love bye." I hang up grimacing as I lay back.
"You need a break. C'mon let me take you out tonight."
Third Person
"We shouldn't be doing this Jansen." Sara says as she worriedly peaks out the room door.
"Yes we should. You want your blanket back don't you?"
"Mhm."
"Then hush girl."He pulls up a chair in front of the boy who is tied to his bed.
"In peoples last moments, they show you who they really are."
The boy gets scared as he taps the blade along his stomach."So in a way, I know your friends better than you ever did. Would you like to know who the cowards were?" He tries to scream butt Jensen puts the sheet in his mouth.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I'm being fair. So don't do that. All I asked for was the code to that door. I know you know it."
"Don't forget about my blanket." Sara whispers in his ear."And her blanket."
"Mmmm." He takes the sheet out of the boy's mouth."The blanket is in the rec room under the couch." Sara gasps running to go look for it.
"What a lousy look out." His jaw clenches."And the code is 0941."
"Of course it is."
