~A New Quest~

"The God of Miracles was my weakness." She spoke, her hand holding her forehead as if she was having a headache.

I do understand her situation. I know how one feels if he or she loses their love ones. "So, you loved him. Am I right?"

"No, I still love him."

"Okay."

"I want you to complete an important task for your previous life, Hailey."

"I will." I told her. I'm eager to know what to do.

"I want you to bring an identical ring like this," she showed me a ring with a ruby in the middle, "you have to go to Arius, a magical realm to find the other one." As she told me she started to disappear.

"I don't have much time to talk. Someone is waking you up. Meet me at the roof of your house, in midnight." She was really fading away.

"And don't tell anyone about this." She said her last sentence as she disappeared.

I closed my eyes and when I opened them, I was at home. Dad was waking me up.

"Hailey, wake up! You are late for your college."

"I'm up, Dad!" I said as I yawned.

"I'm going, sweety! You should be ready for your classes. You have already missed your Maths class!" He hurriedly said as he exited through the door.

I shut the door and rushed to the bathroom getting myself ready.

I put a blue top with denim jeans. And got a light blue clutch purse and my Samsung mobile.

I rushed outdoor and quickly locked the door. Called out for a taxi, then finally reached my destination.

I hurried to the classroom, then suddenly stopped as I reached the door. There was standing Miss Bertha, our Science professor. The worst thing - she noticed me.

"Miss Hailey, you're late for your class." She basically, scolded me.

"I'm sorry. The taxi got-" I was making an excuse and was then interrupted by her.

"It's okay! Now, come in." Miss Bertha said showing me a empty seat near Chase.

What?! Chase?! He is here, again. How will I concentrate on my study?!

I simply moved from my position and sat on my seat.

"Hi! I'm glad." Chase said smiling.

What the hell! He is acting like a kid.

I concentrated on what Miss Bertha was telling, ignoring the 'psycho'!

But as the 'Mr. Psycho' kept disturbing me, I had to put him on his track back.

"You're the one jerk, who's always interrupt me during focusing times." I said, whispering as low as I could in a really angry voice. If Miss Bertha wasn't here, I will surely kill him or eat him up.

"I'm... Still glad!" He smiled again.

Oof... What's up with his weird smile and the line too.

"You're still a jerk!" This time I accidentally yelled at him.

"Miss Hailey, what's the problem?" Miss Bertha asked me, making me the attention of the class.

Oh! No!

"Sorry! He was disturbing me, miss." I told her.

"From now on, you'll be sitting with Allison. Whereas, Sam will be sitting next to him." She says pointing at Chase at her last sentence.

He caused a big problem! In my college! What's up with him?!

I quickly changed my seat with Sam, my frenemy at college.

Just then, the bell rang and I had to go home.

There's no more classes for me to attend today, I thought.

I called for a taxi, when I reached my home, I paid the taxi driver. I closed my clutch and before that, I found the ring. The ruby ring.

I have a mission to complete.

I picked out the key and opened the door of my 'home sweet home'.

I baked some choco-chip muffins and sent some to Ms. Rose.

I was sleeping in my bed and my father was asleep in his room. Oh, No! It's 11:59 at night.

I have to go!

I rushed to the roof tiptoed, as quiet as I can.

I saw her. Algaia was standing there with a book. I suppose it's a Diary.

"Oh! Hailey, you're here!" She said as she noticed me.

"Take this, it will answer your questions." She said as she handed me the Diary.

"Okay! Now how will I go in Arius?" I asked her, putting the diary away in the backpack that I brought. Probably, it will be a long journey.

"You will go there, from here!" She said interrupting my thoughts as a portal magically appeared.

"You will find a centaur. His is name is Orientus." She said as I entered the portal.

I felt like a jelly, but now it was obvious. Finally, I gained control over myself, I looked around and saw myself standing on a mountain, actually a floating island in air.

And, my eyes caught a beautiful sight, there were many of them. And a sea beneath us. A whole island was in sea, which I could see. There was a beautiful rainbow on the island.
