𝐔nbelievable. That was what you thought when Cedric did it again. You roamed the many halls of the castle and ran into your best friend, Harry. "Oh hey Y/N, what's up?" He looked slightly concerned when he saw your irritated posture. You couldn't help but sigh as you looked at the scrawny brunette boy in front of you. "It's just Cedric again.."

Why couldn't Cedric just behave for once, why did he always have to go making you sad?

"What did he do now?" Harry looked annoyed already and crossed his arms over his chest. You just looked at him with pleading eyes, not wanting to explain while standing in the hall. Harry understood your look and took you back to the Gryffindor common room, making sure it was empty. He sat down on the couch with you and waited for you to proceed.

You had always supported Cedric and his choices no matter how dumb they were but sometimes he did things that hurt you. This was one of those times.

You had walked up to Cedric since he was one of your best friends and you wanted to talk to him like you normally did but this time, you didn't even get to speak at first. "Y/N, you know how you gave me advice on how to make my relationship with Cho get better?" His eyes looked dull. You were immediately confused but answered. "Yeah, I told you to give Cho whatever she'd want?" You almost questioned it since you had no idea what it was about. "Well, what she wants is.." He paused and sighed. "Is for us to no longer be friends or speak to each other.."

Your face dropped as the words escaped his lips. "That is crazy Ced, why do you let her control what you do like that? What are you gonna tell her when you continue to be my friend?" You waited patiently for him to answer, watching him look down at the ground and putting two and two together. "You've already agreed to her request, haven't you?" You started to back away, surprised at how he could do that. "Y/N... I need to make this relationship work, I need to.." He tried to grab a hold of your arm but you moved.

You walked off and that's when you ran into Harry.

As you told the story, Harry's face fell into an angry expression. You very well knew that he was gonna go off to find Cedric and curse him out. That's why you put a hand on his now tightened fist. "Harry, don't go out to find him, he was a douche anyway." You smiled at him and laid your head on his shoulder.

You had always adored Harry, more than a friend. He was always there if you felt down or needed a helping hand.

He put his arm around you and his breathing went back to normal, his fist opening softly. You knew how his anger worked whenever someone would hurt you in particular but also his other friends. That meant that you also knew how to calm him down and make sure he didn't do anything stupid that he'd regret. He was really just someone you felt naturally attracted to.

"Harry?" You looked up at him. He looked at you to the best of his abilities. "What's up?"

You contemplated on telling him how you felt, it was a difficult choice. "I love you. Thank you for always being around." His face of surprise slowly turned into a relaxed smile as he sat up a bit, making you sit up as well from laying our head on his shoulder. He took your hand.

"I love you too.." That sparked joy throughout your whole body, knowing it wasn't meant in a friendly way but how could you know that?

Only because Harry reached his hand up to your cheek and leaned into you until your lips lightly touched. He kissed you and you kissed him back.

Soon a chuckle was heard from the doorway of the common room and you broke apart to see where it came from and who it was. Both you and Harry looked around until you saw Fred and George, peeking from the doorway. "Took you guys long enough! Fred, you owe me five galleons." George looked at his twin brother and held out his hand.

"You two made a bet? On what?" You looked at the two troublemakers, not knowing what to think. "Well, Freddie here didn't think you guys would end up together but I disagreed so he owes me five galleons, come through brother." You didn't know whether to laugh or be angry at the two for making a bet about you but the silence was broken by Harry, he was laughing out loud. "You guys really made something so stupid as a bet about me and Y/N?" His smile was prominent and to be honest, it caused you to smile softly.

"Of course we did and actually I won cause they're not technically together Georgie!" Fred looked almost triumphant until George hit him on the arm. "You bloody goose, of course, they're together! They just kissed!"

As the twins argued on which of them had won the bet, Harry turned to you and smiled. "Wanna go grab dinner in the Great Hall?" You only nodded and took his hand before walking past the twins but whispering to George. "You won btw." And heard Fred bickering about it not being fair play.

You walked into the Great Hall with your hand in Harry's and joined the others in eating dinner and thought about how things really started looking up despite Cedric being a complete idiot.
