After a dull day at home I seized the chance to get out as soon as I heard Lia saying she needs to go to the supermarket to buy some things for the house.

I went instead of her, having that large list of things she wanted me to buy. Time passed pretty quickly as I walked past the cashier to pay for the things I bought. The truth is I had to carry a lot of plastic bags on my way home but it didn't matter at the point.

I just paid and made my way out to see the sun slowly setting. What a beautiful secenery! I stood there for a moment staring at the mesmerizing view.

The yellow ball of fire changed to hues of orange, and then almost tangerine. It merged with the sky, like juice-mix dissolving in a glass of water. The clouds were cotton-candy, as though they blushed at the warm touch of the sun. 

Silhouettes of birds flew home across a sky that was now magenta.

I was 100% sure my pupils probably expanded as I was glaring at this beautiful battle of colours occupying the sky.

I had so many years to see the sun being so beautiful to my eyes. Funny isn't it? In Jeju I can even see the sunset's reflection in the sea waters and yet never paid that type of attention.

Weird!

I thought and turned my back towards the sun so I could make my way home. As soon as my head met my fromt view at the exact same moment I saw this familiar face walking from the one sidewalk to the other.

Y/n: C-Chan?

I announced staring at the boy with his hood up. He slowly fixated his eyes to me and realization hit him.

Chan: Oh Hi Rookie...

He smiled right away. It was obvious he was not expecting me to be here. My eyes glared at his one hand holding a... boombox?

That was something weird for me. I had so mamy years to see a boombox. Maybe because nowadays people can find anything online and listen to music from different apps.

Chan: What did you buy there?

He joked and tried to see inside the bags I was struggling to carry.
