Lisa stopped for a second, sure that she had mentioned that she was already bringing someone.
"I would love to, but I'm already bringing someone," Lisa said, putting her attention back on the small Chihuahua in front of her who was having trouble walking on its right front leg and also trying to ignore the pouty face that the woman next to her was displaying.
"Oh, who are you going with?" Jessi asked, sounding quite disappointed.
"I'm bringing my girlfriend," Lisa said, a smile forming on her lips as she used the title girlfriend.
"Ah ha!" Jessi called out causing Lisa to look at her with furrowed eyebrows. "Oh, Jennie and I were trying to guess who you were into. I win," She smiled smugly.
"Oh," Lisa smiled gently, still trying to remember where she had heard of Jennie before.
"Your girlfriend is really lucky," Jessi commented after a couple of minutes which Lisa found kind of weird.
"Wanna grab lunch?" Jessi asked, standing up fixing her overcoat.
"Already?" Lisa asked, standing up herself, "It barely feels like I've done anything!" She laughed.
"There's a small cafe nearby, great coffee and food there. Want to go?" She asked, putting away her clipboard and over coat, followed by Lisa who did the same.
"Er, yeah sure," Lisa said, "I just need to grab my purse," She said, pulling out her key card from the lanyard around her neck and feeling a sense of accomplishment in having it.
"I'll pay," The girl offered, holding onto Lisa's hand to turn her away from the door.
"Oh, are you sure?" Lisa asked, moving her hand away slowly.
"Yeah, I mean, I can't take you to the party, I can at least buy you lunch, right?" She said, ruffling her hair as the two girls left the building.
"It's literally just two min-"
"Hey, babe," A voice suddenly spoke, making the two girls whip their heads around.
"Rosé!" Lisa squealed excitedly, hugging onto the older girl tightly, "What are you doing here?" She asked, holding onto Rosé's hand.
"I didn't get to see much of you in the morning and I missed you," Rosé said, kissing Lisa gently, not wanting to pull away however she felt a pair of eyes watching the two of them. "Aren't you going to introduce me?" Rosé asked, looking in Jessi's direction.
"Oh right!" Lisa said, still holding onto Rosé's hand. "Rosé this is Jessi. Jessi this is Rosé, my girlfriend,"
"Nice to meet you," Jessi said, shaking Rosé's hand and showing a smile that looked so fake.
"Where were you headed?" Rosé asked, smiling at Lisa when she heard her use the term girlfriend.
"Jessi was telling me about a small cafe nearby, we were just going for lunch. Do you have time to come as well?" Lisa asked hopefully, the smile not once slipping from her face since Rosé had been there.
"Of course I have time, and even better that it's spent with you," Rosé said, kissing the younger girl on the cheek and causing Jessi to roll her eyes, which Rosé just happened to catch but decided to ignore it.
"How's your day been?" Rosé asked, one arm slung over Lisa's shoulder as Jessi walked a couple of steps ahead.
"Good, I was with Jessi, and we were doing the physical check ups," Lisa explained, feeling overwhelmed with happiness.
