Summary of this chapter
Vic is still dealing with the after math of finding a little boy at the same park. Her and Ripley are faced with some life changing decisions. At the end of this chapter A firefighter is badly injured after they are called to a fire that gets out of control.

Back at the firehouse
Same day
Everyone set around the firehouse. There were hardly any calls that day.
Travis's POV
Vic had walked into the firehouse. She didn't look very happy. I went to catch up with her. She was headed to Sullivan's office.

T- Travis: Hey Vic what's going on?
(Vic handed Travis the photo of the warehouse)
V- Vic: Travis 3 days ago did you guys get called out to a warehouse?
T-Travis: Yea 3 bodies were found.

Vic stopped in her tracks.

V- Vic: Were they kids or adults could you tell?
T- Travis: They looked young. May I ask why you're asking me all these questions.

V-Vic: i met a kid at the park today. He hadn't seen his siblings in a few days and before I told him I wanted to make sure it was 99% accurate that they died I have to go and inform him. But would you mind letting Ripley know where I'm at.
T-Travis: of course.

Later that evening
Vic had spent the last few hours talking to the social worker of DeLuca. The social work told Vic after Deluca was checked out fully and rested she would take him away to a foster or group home.

V- Vic: is it cool if I go and hang with him?
SW- Social Worker;Yes I'll try to keep you updated on where he goes.
V- Vic: Thank you

Later the night
Ripley's POV
Travis had told me where I could find Vic so as soon as my shift came to an end I rushed over to the hospital to be with her. One of the nurses lead me to a room.

N- Nurse: She's been here all day with him. Poor kid is going back into the system and he lost his foster siblings.

I walked into the room. The little boy lay on the bed sleep and next to him in the chair. Vic lay sleep with her hands on her belly. I gently woke her up.

V- Vic: Hey babe you're here?
R- Ripley: Yes. And I'm here to stay with you through all of this.
V- Vic: You're the greatest. Hey look I promised DeLuca I'd sneak him in some food later on tonight. Are you okay if I run out and grab some food real quick?
Ripley: Yea go ahead. I'll be here.

45 minutes later
Vic's POV
I had walked back up to the room carrying the food and goodies in a book bag. Before I got to the door I heard lots of laughter. I peeked in to see Ripley sitting on the bed next to DeLuca. They both were laughing and playing Ripley's ipad. I quietly walked in.

I have returned with good food for the belly.
The three us watched tv, laughed and ate food.
A nurse had came and checked on DeLuca his stats looked good and they said he could be discharged tomorrow. After awhile DeLuca finally fell back to sleep. I set on Ripley's lap. Silence filled the room until finally Ripley whispered in my ear.

R- Ripley: Let's become foster parents. I know it'll be a lot with a baby coming soon but this kid he's special. I want to give him a chance to have a family.
V- Vic: Foster parents are only temporary though.
R- Ripley: Look we'll see what happens but what matters is we can be here for him not.

I kissed Ripley on the forehead. I was so glad to have met him.

Back at the firehouse
The Station 19 team set around. Calls had been easy to handle but Sullivan ran into the room.

S- Sullivan: Hey guys I just gotta call from Station 41 they need us to assist them with a hotel fire. Let's go! let's go! let's go!

At the call
Sullivan's POV
We got to the fire and we helped continue evacuations of the hotel. The smoke was heavy but we had to help as many people as we could, but what we weren't ready for was to here one of our own PASS alarms going off. Everyone had checked in except for Herrera and Bishop. We were finishing getting our last
People out and they weren't allowing anybody to go back in but I had to find away to get back in there to my team.
