I'll love you anyway

chapter 7

mina knew the peaceful moment of her and ochaco chatting wouldn't last long but she still felt her heart drop when she saw the press; there was going to be an interview of how we're good now and about what happened at the fight, she just wanted to enjoy her coffee and spend time with ochaco.

"well that's gonna suck," mina says quietly "now we're gonna have to deal with the press, what are we gonna do,"

"I don't know, maybe we could make a run for it," ochaco says jokingly

"oh please, they'll catch us before we have a chance to run," mina replies facetiously "don't you remember what happened in our first year of UA,"

"How could I ever forget," ochaco laughs "the press literally broke through the barrier just so they could get more on all might teaching at UA,"

"it was hilarious how Iida was like an exit sign," mina chopped her arm like Iida does

"yeah," uraraka smiles "it was pretty funny,"

"We should stop procrastinating and go deal with the press,", mina sighs "they're just gonna stand there till they get the drama they want,"

"yeah but it's a pain when they're constantly breathing down your neck," Ochaco stretches and grabs her coffee" plus isn't worth a shot to run, I mean neither of us wants to deal with them and my place isn't too far from here. with a couple turns to throw them off along the way we should be able to outrun them,"

"You think so," mina gets up and grabs her empty cup of coffee "it would be fun but how do we leave without them noticing,"

"We might not be able to leave without them noticing but we could run into a crowd so it's hard to see us then break out into an alley or backway to my place," mina and ochaco throw away their coffee cups and ochaco finishes up laying out the plan "once we've lost them we can run to my house and boom we've escaped them

"if that's the plan then let's go," mina smiles at ochaco

"once we get outside let's run to the nearest crowd," ochaco said quietly

ochaco grabs mina's hand once they get outside and bolts around the corner where there's a small crowd. they linger there for a bit and wait for the press to move along once the coast is clear, mina and ochaco runs down the street and heads down a backway that leads to the back of her house. they're almost there when ochaco swings around the corner and bumps into a psycho-looking blond with her hair up in messy buns.

"aah, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention," ochaco apologized,

"oh it's fine," the girl laughs "I was just looking for a friend, he was headed here last I checked,"

"I might have seen him," ochaco asks "what does he look like,"

"you probably haven't," the girl waves ochaco off and skips away " tah tah,"

"uh bye," ochaco waves back awkwardly

"that girl was weird," mina says quietly "something about her was off,"

"I guess, she didn't seem normal," ochaco whispered,

"well we should continue to your house," mina said "I don't want to linger here for too long,"

"Are you scared," ochaco asks teasingly

"pff, no," mina defends "I just don't think it's necessary to talk here when we could talk inside,"

"oh sure," ochaco says, while they walk back to her house

once they get to Ochaco's house they head inside and flip through the channels, when they see one with a picture of them talking.

"uravity and pinky have been seen talking at a local cafe, does this mean they fixed their relationship,"

Ochaco's face just drain of life, leaving mina very concerned

"oh my gosh are you okay," mina asks panicky "your face just went white,"

"oh yeah I'm fine," uraraka snapped out of some sort of daze, her face was still pale but she looked better "just a had thought,"

"was it a terrifying one," mina is confused, ochaco normally doesn't just go pale like that so what had caused her to be so scared

"sure I guess," uraraka shrugs it off "just a little flashback"

"of what?" mina wanted to know

"the um... fight," uraraka looked nervous "it was a little nerve-racking, what had happened"

"yeah," mina lays her hand on Ochaco's "but why don't we just forget it ever happened and just be best friends again,"

"yeah," ochaco looked better but mina could tell something was still on her mind "like it never happened

"well I should get going I was going to meet up with tooru later," mina checked the time on her phone "I guess I'll see you later,"

"see ya," uraraka waves goodbye as mina leaves

on mina's way home she noticed someone running towards Ochaco's house, it looked like the midoriya guy ochaco met but he looked like he hadn't had sleep in days. mina shrugs it off everyone has those days where they're a complete mess maybe it was that type of day for him, but something about how he was acting was off like he was scared of something. mina wanted to follow him but she didn't want to be late.
