Chapter 8

High School, the next step of education of a kid, where classes are getting more hard, you sometimes get bullied, and you start hitting puberty. Not so cool. For every student's goal in at Los Angeles County High School is to get to their Senior year so that they will attend to college so that they can achived their dreams.

As for the ones who are not willing to do so, are a bunch of jerks. Really, they will end up regretting for not finish school. They will have to go to adult school and then finally have their diploma.

But hey everyone has a life for something.

It was the end of last period and everyone is going to back home or going to their after school activities. Only 3 more days before the beginning of Summer Vacation, they've finished their exams and everything now they've all only got small simple test to do and it's all done for the year.

The school is know for it's 'Arts Programs', Music, Art, Cinematic, Theater and Dance. Most students in these programs are target of bullying. But they've ignored it cause they already have each other.

There is one student who is a year away from graduating. Also one of the members in the music program. He has brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin, he was wearing a grey cloth hat, little dark grey turquoise t-shirt, dark scarlet red long pants, and dark grey shoes.

His name is Derrick West, he and his family moved to California shortly after he was born for a better life. He live in a medium house with his Mom, Dad, his little brother and sister. His Paternal Grandparents also lives in the city but somewhere else, so that whenever his parents aren't home, he and his siblings would stay over at their house.

He is the lead member of the Music Group in the Music program. Ever since Elementary School he dreams of becoming a DJ player and singer. On his 13th birthday, his dad bought him his very own turn table so that he can record his own mix songs of his own. He would bring his turn table ever since he started High School for the music program. Student would go to their programs once every two days.

He is just on his way home like every other student, he had a really bad day like every other day. Charles Garner and his gang shoved him throught the crowd of people and started to insult him, like in their Elementary years.

"Hey West! What are you doing tonight singing a lullaby?!" Charles teased him as the hole School laughed upon hearing everything.

Derrick's friends saw the hole thing and went to cheer him up.

"Don't listen to him. He doesn't know your talent than we do." One of his childhood friends Samantha Huntington, reasured him. She is a young female, blue eyes, light brown curly hair, wearing jeans, lavender shoes, and a white t-shirt.

"Yeah man, he's just like everyone, jealous." Said Owen Lockwood, his African-American childhood friend. He is wearing a blue shirt, dark grey sleeveless jacket, a pair of white 'Nike' shoes, black pants and light grey shorts.

"Look guys, i'm used to their insults for years guys now, no need to feel bad for me." Derrick said.

"Dude, as your friends, and band members, it's our job to be good friends." Owen replied.

"We've known you since we where kids. Why wouldn't be friends now?" Samantha added.

Derrick smiled, he was glad to have friends who never left his side. Just then, the school's speaker activated.

"Derrick West, please report to my office immediately." Principal Jones, the school's principal called from his office.

Derrick's friends winced at this, Derrick has never been called to the principal's office before. Why is he calling him while he hadn't done something bad at all?
