The Other Way

Xiao Zhan parked his car in his usual parking spot and he saw Yibo's bike alone in his side. He smiled at it and he was about get out but his phone buzzed. He immediately fished it out of his pocek and he saw Yubin's name on that screen. He slide it to answer.

"I got the permission to check those files you have asked." Yubin informed without even a hello and Xiao Zhan stopped unfasten his seat belt. He was silent for a moment then he opened his mouth to speak.

"When?" 

"Tomorrow 9 'O' clock, Meet me in my department."

"Thank You Yubin."

"It's alright. Main Mian said there was another note."

"Yeah, It was a quiet different than others. We will talk about it tomorrow."

"Okay. good night."

"Yeah good night." Xiao Zhan hung up the call and sighed when he leaned back at that seat. He stared at his own reflection on that mirror. 

"I hope nothing will lead me into you Yibo. I really don't want that happen." He muttered to himself and sighed again. 

When he reached to his apartment, Yibo was waiting him with his back leaned on that wall, One leg folded back, The brown paper bag loosely hung on his fingers and his head was thrown back to the wall, exposing his Adams apple. Xiao Zhan heart beat raised by that visual. He slowed down a bit. The idea of somebody waiting for him get back home he suddenly found so warm but the other half of his heart was full of questions. 

Yibo noticed the other man and he immediately pulled away from the wall and smiled brightly at Xiao Zhan. That smile made Xiao Zhan's heart skip a beat. He knew that he liked that kid a lot and he liked him being around him. He liked sleeping with him and he liked doing naughty things with him. He was almost sure that it's not only just a like. It was more than that. He doubted if it is because this kid is his first. Maybe it is but still Xiao Zhan wanted to keep him. He didn't know with which label but he was sure that it should not be a 'friend' or a 'brother'. But...... what if this kid is your.....'enemy?' 

Xiao Zhan suddenly stopped on his track and he saw Yibo frowning at him.

He took a deep breath. Pushing away his current confused thoughts he regarded Yibo again. Yibo was still frowning. Xiao Zhan took a moment before he smile back at Yibo and walk towards him. He was happy to see the other man smile again.

"What happened Zhan ge, having second thoughts?" Yibo teased him when he opened the door for them. 

"We are just here to have dinner aren't we? Why should I have a second thoughts about that?" Xiao Zhan looked at Yibo teasing him back.

He saw Yibo putting that paper bag on that table and shrugging away from his blue jacket. He put it on that sofa and regarded Xiao Zhan with sparkling eyes and a onceover.

"Sure we are here only...... for dinner." He nodded with a smirk and Xiao Zhan also nodded at him.

During the dinner, Xiao Zhan once again went silent. His mind was working so hard and deep down in his heart he was confused.
