This morning I woke again hearing my mom and Matt talking. I eavesdrop, "I wanted to ask you, what happened to Mr. Conway?" he asks. My mom answers " It was 16 years ago, one year before Chelsea was born. He woke up bright and early in the morning for work, he kissed me goodbye and never came back, he disappeared just like that. Two months later I found out I was pregnant. And when she was 13 she told me she was a vampire. I believed her and she promised to never hurt me, she's kept her promise ever since." Matt's mouth was open and had one tear roll down his cheek. "I don't need a man to help me raise my daughter." she said proudly. I walk back upstairs and get ready. Meanwhile their still talking, "Ma'am I love your daughter and I need her in my life forever, I would like to ask for her hand... in marriage." he says with a smile. "Matt I...I...I would like if you would give her this." she takes off a ring from her finger and says "This was my engagement ring, I want you to be with my daughter forever and never leave her side like Paul did to me. Do you promise?" Matt puts his hand over hers, and holds out his hand. She puts the ring in his palm "I promise" he says.
I walk down the stairs and Matt tells me we are going out to eat at a fancy restaurant, I go back up to change into something nicer, give my mom a hug, and we head out the door. Matt takes me to the fanciest restaurant I've ever seen. All the men were in tuxedos and women in fancy dresses and jewelry. we sit and order salads and steaks. "This is very nice Matt, I love it all!" I say "Thank you its all for you" he smiles and stands up. "Chelsea Catherine Conway, you have changed my life in so many ways and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you be my wife?" he was very nervous, but I was crying a bit, I nod my head and kiss and hug him. The whole restaurant starts to clap and cheer.
The next few months were frustrating, we needed a cake, a dress and tux, send invitations, set up decorations at the beach, and we aren't allowed to see eachother until the wedding which is 3 months away starting next week. Today we are going to get the cake and invitations out of the way. We taste tested 10 cakes and went with a big 3 part white cake. Then we went to Matt's house and his mom helped us with invitations. That took two hours.
We went to go pick up his tuxedo I let him try it on but wasn't allowed to see him in it or see the tuxedo.
The next day I took Jo, Mr. and Mrs. Collins and my mom to pick out a dress, I tried on may but picked a strapless dress with an end that would drag from behindd and a veil to match. Once we got home I went to bed and texted Matt goodnight.
I was so thankful that three months has gone by because tomorrow night is the wedding. I cant wait!
