Billies POV

I wake up with doctors surrounding me and seeing Athena in a waiting chair sleeping.

" hey... how do you feel." One of the doctors said.

" I feel fine... my head hurts like a bit-, I mean my head hurts really bad."

" ok.." the doctor says writing something down.

" do you know why your heat miss eilish?" She says.

" no..." I say. But then it all comes back to me.

" no more pain."

What did I do?

" yes I remember." I say.

" okay" the doctor says as she walks away.

All I can think about right now is how much damage this probably has done to Athena..

I sneak on my phone and scroll through insta and then I see this video of someone recording Athena breaking down.

" PLEASE I CANT LEAVE HER"

Her eyes where blood shot red.. I see myself about to cry but then I see Athena wake up.

" I'm so sorry ath-"

" I'm so glad your awake. I hope you know how much pain you put me through.. I'm going to leave now since your ok. Bye." She says, then walks out the door.

My eyes start to water.

Why would I do this.

I hope I can talk to her again .. I miss her already and she hates me.

Athenas POV

I slam the door and start breaking down in tears. I cant believe this. I thought Billie was happy.

As I'm walking out I accidentally bump into this guy.

" oh I'm so sorry I-"

" its okay, my name is Shaun , nice to meet you.. hey.. why are you crying?"

"Well..." I say as we both sit down. " my friend Billie tried to... end.. her life a- and I thought she was happy-" I say getting cut off by my tears.

" Billie? Oh my god..I was here to visit her, I'm her friend as well." He says. " Hey.. hey don't cry." He says letting me lay on his shoulder.

" and I just got really mad at her and now I feel really bad I- I just couldn't believe it." I say as he shakes his head , listening to everything I'm saying.

" one of the girls at my school, Danielle, she recorded a video of Billie on the floor when she attempted to end her life and me crying in pain. And I can't believe someone would do something like that.. but whatever it's my fault . I should have been there." I say, letting it all out.

For some reason I feel like I can tell him anything.

" I already lost my sister.   I my dad from drugs and other things.." and the reason why I'm so close with Billie is cause..."

" you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to talk about.." he says

" no its okay." I say " my dad.. h-he ... he raped my sister.. all the time. And I wasn't there for her. I should have been by her side the whole time and when she told me I didn't believe her... until I caught him.. and I could have stopped it a long time ago if I wasn't so stupid. If I stopped it and believed her she wouldn't have ended her life." I say breaking down in tears.
