Jennie makes her way towards Taehyung with a lot on her mind.
"Hey Tae," she sighs grabbing a piece of fruit off the table.
"Hey Jen, you doing okay?"
"I guess, I've been better."
Ever since the incident she hasn't been the same, she has panic attacks and nightmares often and she prefers to avoid physical contact.
She definitely isn't the same bubbly Jennie as she used to be.
"It'll get better Jen, I promise," Taehyung says pulling her out of her thoughts.
Jennie just sighs, "I feel like the nightmares are getting worse and I have constant flashbacks to that night and -."
She is cut off as Namjoon walks over. Not even bothering to greet Jennie he immediately starts talking to Taehyung, sending a quick glare in her direction.
She raises her eyebrows, "excuse you, I'm standing here too you know."
He looks over at her "Oh, I'm sorry, I don't talk to cheaters"
"You could at least acknowledge my presence, even a simple nod would be nice,"
"Why would I bother, your just a fucking whore who cheated on Tae with a dick of a man." He says this calmly, his eyes boring into hers.
The Kim Jennie before would have had a witty comeback, but instead, she feels tears welling up, she can't find the words to say so instead she turns on her heels and leaves.
"You don't fucking know anything" she hears Tae say angrily over the clicking of her heels.
She walks to the balcony as calmly as she can, occasionally nodding to guests, trying not to make it obvious that she is on the verge of tears.
She leans on the railing, overlooking the city, watching the lights twinkle, mirroring the starry sky above. She finally lets herself cry, feeling the tears run down her cheeks.
Burrowing her face in her hands she lets it all out.
"Fuck you Kai," she sobs "you ruined everything"
"Did I hear my name come out of your pretty mouth?"
Wiping her tears from her face she turns around to see the man that caused everything to crumble around her.
"Hello baby" he smirks, glancing down at her outfit, his eyes trailing up her body, landing on her boobs.
"My eyes are up here asshole, and I am not your baby, I never was."
He chuckles, "you could be, starting today," he takes three steps forward and starts to caress her shoulder bone.
She shrugs his hands off and steps away from him, her back hitting the hard banister as she crosses her arms over her chest.
He steps forward again and puts his hands on her waist, slowly moving them downwards toward her ass. He slowly leans forward and she feels his hot breath on her ear as he whispers.
"You know you can't resist me, I am all you have ever wanted in a man"
She feels herself losing it, panic taking over. She begins to find it hard to breathe and can feel her eyes glassing over.
"I highly doubt that the man of her dreams is a disgusting pervert"
She looks up, trying to regain herself, to see Lisa standing a couple of feet away. She is frozen as she watches Lisa walk forward and push Kai off of her. He stumbles almost falling to the ground. Lisa steps forward with a finger pointed at Kai's chest.
"If you ever, and I mean ever touch anybody, especially my Unnies, that way again, I will personally hunt you down and kill you." She says in a low voice. "Do you understand?"
Kai gulps and fidgets nervously with his tie, looking everywhere but Lisa.
"I said, do you understand?" She says a bit louder looking straight into his eye.
He quickly nods and stubbles back. He then turns on his heel, pride shattered.
Lalisa sighs and shakes her head. "Men are such trash,"
She then looks over to Jennie, who was struggling to catch her breath.
"You okay?"
"Yeah," she says shakily taking a few deep breathes. "Yeah, I'm going to be alright," she repeats a bit stronger this time.
"Good." Lalisa flashes a quick smile before turning on her heel and walking back towards the celebration. She turns around one last time, her finger now pointed toward Jennie.
"This doesn't mean I forgave you," with that Lisa leaves, heading back to continue her search for Jisoo, her heels clicking against the hard marble floor.
Jennie sighs and runs her hand through her hair, turning back towards the view. She looks up towards the star, grateful that she has such a kind dongsaeng, even though they may not have made completely.

Welp, I hope you are all feeling okay and getting through everything well. COVID had been tough.
Jennie's POV of the party was really hard for me to write, mostly because of the thing with Kai. I love Kai and Exo, and in no way do i think that he is like that in real life, i just needed an antagonist.
I hope you have enjoyed the book so far. Things will start to get more complicated in the next chapter.
Sorry if the chapters are a bit short lol I only wrote this in one day, so it might not be amazing but I was feeling inspired lol
By the way, I just realized the introduction to the characters didn't save anything when I published it, so I just redid it, it gives a bit of background to the characters so I would recommend you go back and look at it, sorry.
