7:35 am

"noooo it's too early," you groan into your pillow, your phone limply falling out of your hand.

"i told you about this yesterday, you should've been prepared," bokuto scolds from the other side of the call. "besides, i'm almost at your house with akaashi, so get ready soon."

"ughh fineee," your voice laced with sleepiness, bokuto couldn't help but chuckle. "you still have to give my hoodie back by the way, you've been holding onto it for way too long."

"mm but it's comfortable and it helps me fall asleep faster..." you mumble the last part, more to yourself, but bokuto heard it nonetheless.

"really? fine then, you can keep it for a bit longer," he sighs.

"yaay, thank you," you yawned before forcing yourself out of bed.

"now hurry up and get ready. i'll wait for you outside your house."

he hangs up, and you begin to get dressed.

it was now the third week of school and needless to say, you, bokuto, and akaashi have gotten very close. you always hang out with them during school and you watch them play during practice. on days where they don't have volleyball, you all head over to bokuto's for movies.

pulling on a pair of sweatpants and bokuto's hoodie, you quietly walk down the stairs and write a quick note to your mom, explaining that you would be out for today. it was saturday, and bokuto decided it would be fun to have a day out with you and akaashi.

you open the front door and step outside.

"bokuto? akaashi?"

"BOO!" bokuto jumps out from behind a tree, startling you as you fall.

"BOKUTO! not so loud," you scold as you manage to catch yourself before making contact with the soil in the flower garden.

bokuto's pout is quickly replaced when he notices your attire.

"ah i see you're wearing my hoodie again," he wiggles his eyebrows, a smile playing on his lips.

you shrugged. "what? i already told you, it's comfortable." you look around. "where's akaashi?"

"oh, he walked ahead to give us some alone time."

"what?" you ask

"what?" he repeats back, just as quickly.

you shake your head and dust yourself off. "c'mon, let's go. it's a good thing i caught myself. if i fell on the flowers, my dad would kill me. and i would've gotten your hoodie dirty." you pout.

"don't worry," bokuto places a finger under your chin, lifting it up.

"next time you fall, i'll be the one to catch you."
