"wait, so where are we going?" you asked, struggling to keep up with bokuto and akaashi's long strides.

"you'll see," bokuto smirked.

the three of you have been walking for a while, and you were no longer in your neighbourhood.

"aww, c'mon, just tell me!" you pouted. "nah," akaashi says teasingly. "we're almost there, just be patient."

"hhhhh bokutoooo," you turned your attention to the owl boy, latching yourself onto his arm. "please tell me." you gave him your best set of puppy dog eyes, jutting out your bottom lip and puffing out your cheeks.

"y/n stop that..." bokuto mumbled, turning away so you wouldn't see his blush, which thankfully, went unnoticed by you.

"ohoho," akaashi smirked at his best friend, nudging him in the ribs.

"akaashi don't." bokuto hisses at him, while protectively wrapping an arm around you. he looks back down at your face, which was squished against his arm. "y/n, we're here." he says softly.

you immediately stop moping and straighten up, your eyes sparkling.

✰✰✰

"BOKUTO, AKAASHI, LOOK, OVER HERE!" you bounce around, full of energy.

bokuto chuckles, wondering how on earth someone could be so adorable.

they had brought you to a spring fair (a/n i'm sorry if this isn't a thing lmao let's just pretend it is for the sake of the story). and were now watching as you pranced around like a small child in front of a game booth.

"y/n slow down," akaashi groans. "this is more tiring than volleyball practice."

bokuto smiles fondly in your direction. "but it's worth it, look how happy she is!" akaashi looks at his best friend.

"i think you're in love."

"hmm, what?" bokuto asks dreamily, still staring at you.

akaashi sighs. bokuto was more than whipped for you.

"ask her out."

"who?"

"oh my god," akaashi sighs again, his best friend was so hopeless.

they both approach you at the booth.

"LOOK!" you excitedly pointed to the small stuffed animals that were on display. you handed a ticket to the person at the stand and he handed you three rings.

"get them onto the bowling pins, and you get a prize." he explained.

you tossed the first one.

miss.

you tossed the second one.

miss.

you furrowed your brows in concentration and tossed the final ring.

"YAAAY!" you cheered. your ring landed on the furthest bowling pin, the one with the biggest prize.

"bokuto did you see that?" you turned to him, eyes glistening.

"y-yeah, good job," bokuto blushes.

you scan the prizes until your eyes light up at the sight of a small brown bear.

"that one please!"

you head over to where bokuto and akaashi were standing

you head over to where bokuto and akaashi were standing.

"isn't he cute?" you gush, holding up the small stuffed bear.

"very," akaashi grins, making a lenny face towards bokuto.

"here," you smile widely, handing the small bear to bokuto.

"h-huh?"

"i want you to have it," you state simply, your e/c eyes staring into his golden ones.

"but why?" he cocked his head to the side questioningly.

"is it wrong to give your friend a gift?" you ask innocently, while bokuto turns into a stuttering mess.

"f-fine." he mutters and takes the bear from you.

"good," you beam. "now c'mon, there are so many other things i want to check out!" you grab bokuto's hand and take off running towards the food stands, leaving akaashi standing there.

"did they just forget about me?!"
