Friday morning

Lando, still trying to pull his hoodie over his head, waddled up the hallway with a bright smile. Oh god, his birthday. Lando has always been excited for his birthdays, even tho it became less compared to when he was 6 or so, but that's not really weird. He loved his birthday's so mich every year. Just the feeling of surviving already 21 years in this body. Sometimes Lando wonders how he's still going. When he finally managed to pull down his hoodie, he was met with Kimi just exiting his room.

"Morning" the Fin mumbled. Lando smiled at him happily. "good morning, Kimi!" Kimi brought up a small smile, as usual, before walking off to the dining room. It wasn't a suprise Kimi didn't know it was his birthday today, Lando doesn't mind. More drivers will probably don't know about it. It was early in the morning, but Lando was fast awake anyways so he thought about heading to the track earlier today.

Lando, Kimi and Valtteri were the only drivers awake at this point or atleast having breakfast, so it was quite silent at the table. Not that Lando minds, he likes the peace with both Finnish drivers as neither of them are very talkactive, compared to himseld. Well, he enjoyed it, until they actually start to talk Finnish to each other. Fair to say Lando actually felt left out now.

"hän saa selville tänään, joten hänen pitäisi olla kunnossa. se on loppujen lopuksi yllätys"

Lando sighs deeply, putting down his cutlery and stood up, turning around arubtly and heading towards the door. He felt so happy, finally turning 21 today. But just these simple little things ruin it already, and he hates himself for feeling like this. Lando heads to his room, grabbing his bag and quickly heading out, so nobody can bother him. Just him and a car. Perfect way to celebrate your birthday! Yeah, right.

Morning, at the paddock

"It's freezing" Seb mumbles with chattering teeth, wrapping his arms around himself to bring some sort of friction and warmth. In the shadows between the big motorhomes and pitlane building, it was ice and ice cold. It was a few minutes left before practice one, but the conditions didn't seem very promising. He saw how wet spots covered the track at the parts the sun hadn't hit yet, but Seb was up for a tricky day.

He felt, leaning towards the end of this season, more relieved. Of course he was disappointed by how this season had been rolling on. He really hoped for good glory years with Ferrari, but it unfortunately wasn't like that. Although, Seb would be lying if he said everything at Ferrari has been terrible. Those 14 wins, each beautiful on their own way, had a special meaning for Seb.

But with that he realizes that a win, or even a podium, is for this year barely possible. Ferrari had mentally torn him out. He was happy to go to Aston Martin next year. Build something new where the pressure wasn't as high. Seb hopes this was the way out. Seb smiled to himself, before pulling his beanie further down to cover his face nearly fully, only his blue eyes scanning over the paddock.

Lewis chuckles softly when he saw Seb passing by, like a red jelly bean or something. "You cold?" He asks, pulling Seb out of his thoughts as he turned around. It seems like the German smiles. Lewis can see it in Seb's eyes when he smiles. That stupid mask. "Oh, hi Lewis! Yeah a bit, it's not the warmest of days you know" Seb exclaimed, chuckling afterwards. "No it definetly isn't" Lewis approached Seb with a soft laugh.

"Here" Lewis said as he gently pushed a mug in Sebastian's hand. "Chocolate milk, will keep you warm" he continued, with a sweet smile. "Lewis, I appreciate but you know I-" "Shush and drink" Lewis ordered, making Seb roll his eyes with a laugh, before pulling down his mask and talking light sips from the warm drink. "Am I right?" Lewis asks with a smirk. Of course he's right. He's always right.
